You can take that chrome off the grill if you want. You just have to take the headlight bezels out and a few other screws I think and it pops off.
unfortunately, i don't think it does. i had the same ugly chrome grill and after futilely trying to remove it myself, i had two more mechanically inclined people try it and also asked a local jeep dealership. these things are bolted and i think even glued on in the factory, not easy to loose. i then just had it painted to match the body color.
the lift really makes those LJ's look great. However I'm still lost, I thought Sahara= painted flairs. I think you have a counterfeit rubi/sahara
(not really. But it should, in my mind, have painted flairs.)
I'll get that grille off for you.
step 0.5 - video tape the following
Step 1, find large tree
step 2, tree saver and little pulley on tree
step 3, run winch line through pulley and back to the front grille.
step 4, stand on the brakes and turn on the winch.
step 5. thank me by posting the video.
Thanks guys! Here are the daytime pics as promised.
On the down side I now know what true death wobble feels like. I can tell you I prob stained my boxers a bit. You cant say your jeep has DW unless you think that you are going to die and the only way to stop the craziness is to somehow pull over and come to a complete stop. If your "wobble/vibes" stop without you coming to a complete stop you do not have death wobble!
lol well i hope your underpants are alright.. did you have it balanced and aligned yet?
The rims and tires came off my TJ and also have balancing beads in them so I kinda figured they were set. I was holding off on the alignment until after I bought the new track bars but I guess that cant wait.
The luck we had doing my lift you may be better off not having me around!
Dude we've all been there. Nothing is EVER as easy as it 'should' be on a Jeep. 'Just take this off, unscrew this, replace this, and your done.....'. Not true. Ever. If it goes too easily Im worried I did something wrong.
