Build Thread

Ok so I have noticed some build threads lately. I don't have a complete jeep... Yet! I am starting this thread to show my jeep. I have little to know money so if you don't have lots of money keep reading!

I got my jeep on April 23, here Is my jeep when I got it.

I got it and I had a bunch of crappy stickers on it so I took them off.

The other day I added kc hilites to my jeep. Sadly it took me three days to completely assemble them. They are small but fit in the spot I put them in perfectly.

Good idea. If by bezels you mean the chrome pice on the main headlights then yes. I think I know what I will do today! They were chipping and I was putting it off but that is a good idea. Thanks again!!!

I know the same feeling as you I work 2 jobs and have saved and spent close to 4 grand on my TJ so far yet I don't have anything installed beside the new headlights. I've got a new motor built ready to drop in, complete gears front and rear, brakes front and rear, new exhaust, speedo gear and I can't remember what else I've bought for it. I like that front bumper what kind is it.

No problem! Also, I bought these a few minutes ago. I think they'll look good on my Jeep, but twice as good on yours. Original Replacement Parts TJ-CR-4 - Clear Corner & Turn Signal Lens Kit for 97-06 Jeep® Wrangler TJ & Unlimited - Quadratec
Here's a pic Well it's a Cherokee but you get the idea..

You are definitely going to have a unique jeep. You have put alot of time in on your custom paint. One thing about jeeps, there is no wrong way of making it your own.

Ok because someone the other day said unique. They bashed me for 5 minutes about it. I listened, and when they were done I said what are you jealous... Then jumped in it, and blew through there front yard and drove away. Lol it was awesome way to leave.

I find when people get upset when I give my opinion on their setup, it's usually because they've done something for attention. I like the white bumper, not something I would do personally.. but a commend you on doing what suits you. since it is "unique" (as defined by others) you should probably get used to the comments and learn to shrug them off as opposed to "blowing" through peoples yards." Any property damages left behind your showing off can always come to bite you in civil court.

Ask me how I know, and my teenage image (many years ago) will pop up and show you my restitution bills for similar acts.

Oh I know it was more of a joke... I forgot to mention they said a jeep could not even go through there ditch... I said you bet they said no it couldn't... It was all a joke I would never tear up someone's yard on purpose... also I am not trying to get attention I am just doing what I think will look good... All in good faith!!!

It came with the jeep. However I have seen it in some other jeeps. Also no name on the bar so I have no idea. Sorry

Oh, well then you were provoked. I had something similar happen to me back in the 90's when I got bored and painted my jeep Pepto bismol pink with white wheels and bumpers (it was a week before going into the body shop..). With my temper, I was nice enough to cut the grass in the form of circles in their front lawn before going through the drainage ditch in my 77 CJ7. Lawn repair was expensive then also. Looking back I woulda tracked me down and slapped me stupid.

Don't be afraid to be different, that's the beauty of Jeeps. Everyone likes something different. It would be pretty boring if we all had the exact same set up. I painted half my interior yellow, some may think it looks like a ricer burner, I happen to think it's awesome. I'm liking the white!

Your welcome. Today I painted the handle on the driver side and the gas area white. I will have pictures tomorrow. I also attempted to do the side bar. It looks good from afar. But up close looks a like a monkey did it. There was a lot of wind an will have to finish in the up coming week.

I like the unique look, maybe spray the rims black to add a little more to the black/white effect??

I was kinda skeptical at first, but that looks nice! Have you thought about the roll bars?

That's not looking to bad, I like it. You do need to do something with the wheels, maybe like CJYJTJJK said, but 2-tone the wheels.

I was gonna wait till I do the interior. I don't know weather to do the sides or the one that goes across the jeep, or both

What do you mean two tone?
