I got the wires routed neatly and tested all the connections. Now when I get home Friday I'll solder and heatshrink them.
The wires go through where the metal contacts were at the tailgate and into tub, then down to the passenger corner. So pretty much these wires went exactly where the stock 3rd brake light wiring went, looks stock. Except instead of metal contacts from the tailgate to the tub, it's the wire.

Monstalining the rock sliders and jeep rocker to prevent rust. This was taken when I was working on my second coat. Waiting for them to fully dry then I'll bolt them on tomorrow

I'll bet. CL probably isn't a great place for a daily driver (I'm a college student too) if you're not spending much but it's great for parts. Only on CL can you find something like this:
BangShift.com 302 powered snowblower

Grandpa and I built a top for the trunk area, I still have to carpet it and figure out how to mount it. For now I just have foam blocks pushing it up under the lip of the tub.

Very sweet build! When you put on the Zone 4.25" lift did you stick with the factory control arms or did you up grade those as well? i will be purchasing that lift soon and didn't know if a person should upgrade or just leave the stock ones alone for now.

I left my control arms stock. However, I will have to upgrade upper rear control arms I believe when I go through with a 8.8 rear swap. I would leave them stock for now.

Well my rear main seal went out, I'm guessing it has been leaking slowly for a while because my clutch would always act up, as if oil was getting on the fly wheel and causing it to be jumpy. Now I have a puddle of oil on the garage and can easily see where it's leaking from. I'm going to replace the clutch while the tranny is out too. Going to a shop tomorrow for a price quote, if it's too much then my brother and I will do it ourselves.

The shop quoted me around 500 bucks for the Luk replacement. I think I'm going to go this route and have it done in 3 hours and save myself the time.

Now the shop changed their story and said the 500 bucks was just for the rear main seal, which is a 20 dollar part. quite a profit on their end. they quoted me $1000 for clutch and seal, said that is a ridiculous price and tried to get it down. They wouldn't budge so I took it to another shop where my family has been going their whole life for a quote (and we know him pretty good). He quoted me 600-800 bucks for everything once he figures out everything. He also said he won't do a half ass job and wants to mess with the fly wheel and everything as well. I'll probably take it to him sometime next week.

I fixed my hardtop a while ago, it loois brand new again! No more crumpled corner, chips, or surface cracks! And I sold my 07 Cbr600rr I've had for 3.5 years and broke near even of it, $6100. I got a steal on it for $5200 and put a bit of money into it when I was in highschool.
I bought a layover 2014 drz400sm with 1400 miles on it and love it 100x more than the 600rr. I don't think the supermoto will ever be a boring bike haha

Continuing the previous post, the top front lip of the hardtop had chips in it, and the bottome right corner was completely crumpled in. Everything is now fixed and is as structurally sound as it gets. And here's a front pic of the supermoto. And of course has an HID in the headlight, great for night riding.

Thanks I appreciate it! I think poison spyder front fenders will be the next project for it, but not for a while. I'm going to pay off the rest of the jeep before school starts so I don't have any loans to worry about for once. I'll have to rebuild the bank account before the jeep gets anything fancy again haha

Took this pic in a trail a few months ago. Will be going to the Black Hills with a few friends in the spring so I'll get to actually test the limits on it. Also, my dad had a customer come in saying he had a Dana 60 leftover from his rock cralwer, he switched to a full-floating axle. He said he's had it laying around for a while, is not advertising it anywhere, and would sell it for around $1200. Depending on what gears are in it and the length, this could be a possibility for my rear end swap. Waiting on more details from my dad about it, he thinks he remembers the guy saying it came out of a TJ.

Awesome build man! Almost a college jeeper here (just graduated). I like your license plate and third brake light mount - I'm looking into doing something like that. Did you buy anything special to mount the license plate or did you just fabricate some sort of bracket?

Thanks! Build the jeep up while you don't have to pay rent and other living expenses! I actually ordered it. It's a Rockhard kit I believe, can't remember exactly but if you type in rockhard spare tire license plate mount with 3rd brake light, you should come across this. Comes with the 3rd brake light and the mount.
