Just bought my first Jeep! White 2006 Unlimited. Mostly stock but has a one inch body lift on it. PO is the owner of a local 4x4 shop and this was gonna be his personal project before business picked up. Got it for $11k with 125k on it so I feel like it was a pretty good deal. My buddy is big time into Jeeps and off-roading so he's helping me baby step through my mod's. I'll post pics from time to time to update on my progress. My first goal is to take out the carpet and put down Monstaliner. I've been tearing out the interior over the past week, getting ready to POR15 the floor pans and prep for the bed liner.
Man that's a great deal. I paid 14,500 for my 05 LJ with 80k miles and its soft top was shot. No rust or anything like that so I was pretty happy. Good luck with it.
How did the Monstaliner adhere to the POR15? let us know how it sticks over the long run.
Finished product looks great! Would love to LineX or Monstaliner mine - but I'm too lazy for all that prep.
Great looking work you have done. I really need to stop being lazy and do my interior floor like that. But I would still keep my carpet as I drive a lot of long distance drives in mine.
Thanks Sarge! I really like the look of the interior with the bedliner. I'm slowly trying to make her mine but I'm a complete novice at this so it's slow and steady. Tried to replace the rear main seal to fix a small leak. Took me a month of fighting rusty bolts, watching YouTube videos. Finally got her back together and it still leaks a little, lol. Oh well. I might try again over the winter.
