Well I did get my parts back from paint and pulled a pretty late nighter on monday night. They came out really well on the color! I installed the grille, and the metalcloak fenders on the front. Also installed Drake hood latches as I couldn't get the factory ones off the old fenders.
All in all it came out good. Unfortunately my hood is tweaked so I will have to work on it some more. Also the gap on the MC fender to hood fit is pretty big. I researched it and it seems that to some degree almost all of the installs I found have the same gap. Some worse then others.
Anyway, I got it dropped off to Line-X yesterday, supposed to have it back friday afternoon. Also supposed to get my new mastercraft seats on friday as well. So I got a bunch of work this weekend to get things re-installed!
Excellent job! I'm just finishing my own big $ build so I can appreciate the time and work that goes into doing things right. Mine was mainly suspension, steering, and drive line but we do have one mod in common.
Savvy rock sliders, though mine are the tube style. Just bedlined them yesterday. Did you get your nutserts in? This is the "tool" they sent me.
Not exactly high tech but it works pretty good. You do have to use your man hands for the first couple turns.
Looking forward to seeing your jeep finished. Keep up the good work. Also I love the color.

Roads? Where we're going we don't need roads! Frame off TJ restore project
Thanks for the compliments! Your sliders are looking good as well! Yep I got my nutserts but they didn't include that "tool" with mine. I opted to buy an actual nutsert tool and I'm very glad I did! Basically its like a giant rivet gun. It was expensive but worth it in my opinion!
I actually got a call at lunch time and they were done with the line-x! So I went and picked it up tonight. Came out great!! I got a couple of pics but was loosing light and warmth so I had to cut it short. Anyway here a couple shots of it:
Linex was $650 with me doing the prep. Steep but I like the product. Just a personal preference thing. Nothing wrong with the DIY versions, just not what I wanted.
Tonight I went and picked up my new Mastercraft Baja RS seats! I custom ordered them in all vinyl. All black, with seat heaters and lumbar adjusters. Man they are comfortable just sitting in them on the floor!! Very happy with them. I can't wait to see how they are driving. My factory seats are very uncomfortable. No pics tonight but I'll get some tomorrow. Big weekend this weekend trying to get as much as I can done. Hoping to be back to driving the beast on monday.
Great Build and Great Looking TJ, I know I love my Inca Gold, I like how you painted the metal cloak fenders it looks really good. I was gonna do something Similar. Did you take them somewhere to color be matched and painted or did you do it yourself?

2.5" OME HD Lift, 1" Body Lift, JKS Quick Disco's, JKS ADJ Trackbar, Warn VR8000 Winch, A to Z Fab Winch Plate 15x8" Cragars and 33x 12.50 Duratracs
Thanks! I really like the gold as well so I didn't want to just cover it all up with rattle-can or redlined armor. I took all the pieces to a local body shop and had them paint them for me. Turned out really good I think.
With any luck I'll have her back on the road this weekend so I will be able to get some finished pics!
Well it's been a long time coming but I finally got it all done this weekend. Not happy with the wiring in the front for the turn signal ordeal but it works. I ended up just taping up the lenses and leaving them in the engine compartment. Then I made wiring harnesses to run all the LED's off the stock marker/signal wires.
Anyway on the inside here is my new switch setup. Top one is the 3 way for the backup lights, bottom are the heated seat switches:
And here is a shot of my external CB speaker. Found the little guy online for $3! Nice and small, mounted right where I wanted. The only downside is its not real loud.. But you cant have everything I guess.
Here is where I mounted my CB connection. Running the Cobra 75. I bought the 4' extension cable and mounted the main unit up in the dash above the glove box.
Couple shots of the mastercraft seats installed. Real happy with them!! Super comfy, and really hold you in place.
Suspension is the 4" Old Man Emu Ultimate lift, full kit with adjustable front & rear track bars. Shocks are Rancho RS9000xl adjustable's. CA's are chromolly rubicon express with adjustable uppers. Tom Woods custom rear drive shaft.
thanks! I really appreciate it! I'm not a perfectionist by any means but try to do the best I can. I'm really happy with it so far. Few things left to do as always.. gotta have something to tinker with!
