Homemade bumper

Kind of a continuation of my side steps, last week of summer before school starts again so I figured id make a new bumper and stop procrastinating, here's the build! Started off with just a 55" piece of steel, some flat bar and round pipe and ended with this

If I could do it over again I would've made the brush guard wider and not quite as high to be more proportionate but at the time it was being made to case in a winch which I later found out was too big to fit on the plate so it didn't matter anyway, big old sucker I found laying around the house from when my grandmother tanked her car a ways back. Anyways for not having access to a torch or anything hot enough to Bend any of the tubing it went pretty well.

Oh I know, hasn't been moved for the better part of 10-15 years and took a pretty solid whacking and she still runs like gold, thought it would be rated for more than 8000 though. Got an almost identical one that was built into an old bumper for a dodge and that ones in mint condition, just needs seals
