I have to admit I am 100 pages deep so far and wanted to say thanks for all the good info you have there, with the slow graveyards it's been nice to read thru and learn from your experiences.

You haven't even got to the fun stuff yet.

I'll be back in Lafayette to visit my parents in the spring sans Jeep. I may be able to talk some people into organizing a Badlands trip.

Is this the new trend? Build thread cleanup, before/after, cliff notes version? I like it!

They are all custom-length links as the factory mounts on the frame and axle are long gone. Metalcloak cut some custom links for me and I run their joints at all ends in a LH-RH configuration.

Damn man just finished up your thread and holy sh*t. Thanks for keeping that up and have to say after I joined WF I saw yours and that was that, my instant favorite... I will move a lot slower due to $$ and not having any space to work on it at the house.

The Jeep is getting some new life breathed into it right now. I started building a pair of JK Rubicon 44's a couple months ago. Here's where it started: 'rock crawling go-cart' or something - Page 390 - JeepForum.com

Overdue for an update....

Put 11 hours into the Jeep today and got a TON done. All that needs to be done now are rear brake lines and bleeding, axle/hub nuts (should be here Monday), bolt up drive shafts, and fill the tank. Here are some random pictures:

Rear diff setup:

If anyone is building a JKR rear axle and planning on ditching the factory diff, I found it easiest to just use Synergy 4033 with a bolt as a plug to close up the original electronics port. This same part is used in the front axle to make for a nice, easy ARB line adaptor.

Axle in and fully assembled--shafts, brakes, etc.

The front diff setup

Aforementioned Synergy 4033

Front axle bolted up, painted and mostly assembled. The colors....

Full bump driver:

I'd call that maximized

Full bump passenger

Front view

Excuse the filthy garage. It'll be clean very soon.

What's your wheelbase? Did you push the front forward any?

Wheelbase is now 103.5. The new front axle does sit further forward than the TJ axle did, by default, due to the centered lower coil buckets. I've got it sitting as far forward as I can without any interference and I gained about 1.5" over the previous axle.

Project complete

(No, the brake lines are not finished)

Drove it to work

She drives fantastic now that I've got the front end dialed in. The steering is unbelievably precise, the brakes are very strong, and the slight suspension changes I made (instant center locations) make for a very nice driving Jeep--very little pitch when accelerating and braking and very little body roll due to the high roll center and more effective shock positioning. I can't wait to get it out on the trails.

Badass work man!! Thanks for your help in the past and love the work you have done!! I'm planning on stretching my rig to LJ length this spring and once done I will be looking at custom 4 link in the rear. Thanks for all the advice and knowledge in your build posts and for the few questions you helped me with.
