Looking to raise my jeep 2". Not going off road, just want a better, tougher looking stance. I know everyone may have certain brands they like, I want to hear your opinion's. Thanks.
I am very happy with my 2" Rancho Sport lift with 9000XL adjustable shocks. I did add #59 rear springs to get the level better. The kit comes with front springs and rear spacer but you re-use your rear springs. In my opinion it should come with new rears as well. My Jeep rides amazing.
X2 IMO nothing rides better than OME...of course that and stock is the only ride I have ever experienced......It is "easier" to get the "right" lift for your use with OME....they build their springs for what you are running. Either stock or heavy armor tires skids bumpers etc.
yes, shocks limit droop, down travel. bump stops limit up travel, compression. shocks do fine reaching the end of travel when extending since they are only supporting the weight of the axle. Shocks break when hammered home without bumpstops in full compression. bump stops make the stop gradual and controlled. a shock at the end if its stroke causes a sudden mechanical stop and something will eventually break. In extreme situations a limit strap is better than a shock to control down travel, extension too.
