Eliminator,

What's your exhaust routing look like? I see shorty headers in the thread, but don't see if you ran duals, duels with an "x" pipe, or just merged to a single exhaust.

You're power numbers are impressive, I assume rwhp in your sig? Do you have a chart? I have a couple more cubes (LS7 block - 427) but lower numbers at 407 hp/448 tq. I'm using truck manifolds that merge to a single 3" to a single Flowmaster 50.

I'm just wondering where the difference is coming from or if you have more top end and perhaps I get more earlier and less up top.

Nice build BTW!

I don't wanna answer for him, but I'm pretty sure just the engine is 480hp. That's not to the wheels.

Eliminator, how about the finished product in action. I know it's an older build now but would love to see your TJ in action with the new motor. YouTube video sounds great but would love to see acceleration.

Are you guys running stock tires/wheels when you're on the dyno?

I'm about to go in for final tuning once I upgrade my fuel system for my 6.0/4l80e swap.

Debating on whether or not I should pick up a set of stock rears for a more accurate number. I've read some threads where some tuners recommend stock tires on the dyno.

your right jherrington. 480 to the flywheel. I feel boost building, and building and building. when im finished with it, its gonna be around 420 x 2 if you know what i mean !!!

Yes, they're saying that the only restriction in my exhaust side now are the headers. They're saying the sandersons are good for a standard 5.3 but with the 6.0 cammed and ported they recommend 1.75 primaries and 3" collectors at a minimum. I'm running a 3" y exhaust set up to a single exit so with you having true duals you may not have the same restriction. Here's the exhaust they ran for mine, very clean and all stainless. 3" all the way from the collectors. For state inspection we have visual and sniffer so I had to use a hi flow cat and used a magnaflow muffler. Click image for larger version

Yes they are a bit on the high side but these meters will get your attention long before anything gets damaged.. They pay for them-self. Trust me. You can diagnose a problem very quickly with these gauges. For an example, I needed constant 60 psi of fuel pressure, but when I put the hammer down, fuel pressure would drop causing the fuel gauge to flash. That right there told me my pump wasn't up for the job. Awesome gauges!!! Try you tube for Autometer elite series gauges

I regret not going with the in dash fuel pressure gauge. Probably do one later on, you did it right the first time. I have one on the fuel rail but with DBW really takes two to rev and see what the pressure does. And even then it doesn't really measure under load. I'd much rather have live monitoring.
