Took off tube steps and sold them and bought a set of Rock sliders from ebay. Look like the smittybuilt ones. Still have yet to mount them.

Traded my tires for a set of smaller 30" all terrains on canyon wheels which will be my DD tires and a set of JK wheels which I'm selling. I also bought a set of Moab wheels with the original MTR tires, nonkevlar in a 31" size.

I also put the tow hooks back on the front bumper which I had taken off when I mounted the winch. Bolts are long enough and go through the frame pretty deep.
Also painted undercarriage with Rustoleum black, brush on.

I'll post updated pictures later.

Getting tools for rock slider install. All I need now is a floor jack. Also ordering a cb radio, with a 3' firestick antenna. Going to mount on drivers side taillight after some research. Also I painted the rear bumper and tow hitch the other day and touched up the bed liner on the interior.

I am currently working with a guy who is building me a bumper and tire carrier. Trying to complete everything by the July 4th uwharrie wheeling trip. Pictures will be coming as progress is made!

I love the build! I just picked up a 4cyl TJ myself and will most likely be using your jeep as a guide for my future mods. That said, do you have a link to the lift kit you bought? About how long did it take you?

I don't have a link but it's simple spacers I got on amazon.com and then I got extended zone nitro shocks. Spacers costed 60 and shocks were like 180ish maybe? I got them off of their website. My uncle and I did it in his garage, he has a hydraulic lift in the garage so it made it easier. Want to say 8 hours total. Directions were horrible but it's not hard to do.

Here are the updates from the last weekend.

Installed clear marker lenses and 3 hours later I tapped a tree and one lense exploded and the fender flare cracked pretty good. So I put the orange lenses back in the sides for now. I will be getting bushwacker flat flares later this week.

I also got a new to me front bumper off of craigslist

Installed rock sliders, finally

I also cut the person's front bumper who help me install all of the stuff on my rig

$150. Found on craigslist from a guy who built it himself. Also has light tabs on top of the topmost hoop

I'm trying to get my hands on some zj v8 springs to try to level out the front. Right now I have a 2-1/2" difference between front and rear. I could fix this by taking the spacers out of the rear but then there is no extra clearance. Also, what is everyone's opinion on the bushwhacker flat flares?

I have the 6" Bushwacker flat flares and have mixed feelings. They look great, better than e.g. the Xenon flat flares imo, but I fear they will not survive any hit against a tree (whereas the Xenons are really flexible and will take quite a beating).

So I'd say for looks and if you're not planning on hitting a tree or rock, take the Bushwackers, for durability (flexibility), take e.g. the Xenons.

Thanks for the review. I'm thinking about just saving up for metal cloaks

Installing the cb tomorrow and hopefully wire the kc lights on the bumper into the running lights. I hate electric stuff

I got the cb wired up and tuned with a set meter. Got it down to 1.1. That was before 4th of July weekend, which our club went wheeling at uwharrie national forest. Had a blast. Next few upgrades are jk springs in the front, steering box skid, extended brake lines and front brake pads.

31X10.5 was the first upgrade I made on my wrangler. Not a HUGE deal.. but definitely sets the jeep apart from the other stock on the road. Your mods look great.

Thank you! Looking at the zone 4.25" combo lift, truck light led headlights, 33s for my next major mods.

Since I last posted I got a rear bumper custom built, installed extended stainless brake lines, new drums in the rear and pads in the front. Blue Led dash lights from superbrightled.com. Clear marker lenses with amber bulbs and I went back to Uwharrie and did Daniel, Dutch John and Dickey Bell for the first time!

Here is another mudding trip that we had.
