I have wanted a Jeep since I was about six, and now, at 37 years old, I have made a childhood dream come true.
I bought my first Jeep the day before yesterday, a 2006 TJ, Flame Red.

Thanks to getting her at a great price with a low interest used car loan (it pays to pay your bills on time, lol) I am left with the ability to burn any money that I get for selling my old truck on extras for the Jeep. This is going to fun.

So let's start with a picture of her as I received her.

I will post pictures as she develops and I am sure that I will be asking plenty of questions.

I actually painted the top and bottom portions black instead of the leaving it dark gray. But I still might use that trick cause the lines arent very sharp near the curves near the handles and pocket.

as for the ricer comment above, i think Krysta mispelled and it was supposed to say Nicer lol.

lol, Krysta just likes to give me a hard time. It's her personality... but she's still cool. :thumb:

That red matches very well! Did you just grab some red and hope it matched or what? Like I said I'm planning on the same so would like to get some that matches the best :wavey:
I started with Krylon Fusion, but it was too orange. So I picked up some Duplicolor Perfect Match Flame Red. I continued to use the Fusion as a sort of primer.

I cleaned the plastic with soap and water, wiped it off with acetone, laid about 3-4 coats of Fusion (red). I let it dry and then took the shine off of it with a Scotch Brite like sanding pad. Then I sprayed a few coats of the Perfect Match. After it dried I trimmed it with the tape.

Now to see if it will hold.:hide:

Installed the sound system.
JVC Arsenal

Two amps mounted in center console. One 400 watt 4 ch and one 800 watt mono.

The Orion XTR's scream with that amp on them. I highly recommend them.

Pioneer 10" ibflat sub

I am very happy with the results.

Also Dynamated the floor and put in a cheap carpet kit.

NICE JEEP!!! Of course, I like the color too. :) I'm having to start slow on my mods, just because I still have a house payment on a house I'm trying to sell. Hopefully have some extra cash as soon as it sells, and then I am getting started! Love the body armor and the wheels! Awesome!!!

Just went through this thread. So awesome seeing it from start to...well you can never be done with mods! Lol. Great jeep, my favorite pic is the one of her getting dirty though! :thumb:

Looks like body armor is next on my list of things to do!!

Not sure where you are located or where you take your Jeep, but I find the armor that I have to be enough for what I do.
I have gotten a lot of compliments and a few criticisms on it. Those that criticize it don't seem to like the fact that it is plastic.

However.... it is very thick plastic. It's pretty tough, and it seems to cover all of the areas that it needs to. I live in the swamp and we don't have big rocks down here. Those armor plates are just fine for protecting her from tree branches, bushes and rabid squirrels. Maybe even a gator or two if they are on the small side. :thumb:

I think the whole kit ran around $300. It's made by Rugged Ridge.
