Looks like body armor is next on my list of things to do!!

Not sure where you are located or where you take your Jeep, but I find the armor that I have to be enough for what I do.
I have gotten a lot of compliments and a few criticisms on it. Those that criticize it don't seem to like the fact that it is plastic.

However.... it is very thick plastic. It's pretty tough, and it seems to cover all of the areas that it needs to. I live in the swamp and we don't have big rocks down here. Those armor plates are just fine for protecting her from tree branches, bushes and rabid squirrels. Maybe even a gator or two if they are on the small side.

I think the whole kit ran around $300. It's made by Rugged Ridge.

I think for the wheeling I'm doing it will be a great deal. I tread lightly because of budgets and since she's my DD I can't afford to run her too roughly. So light trails, medium ruts, and a few holes, but nothing I can't get myself out of. The place I hit...I get smacked in the head with brush all the time and it's added it's fair share of beauty marks to the jeep. Other than that, nothing too bad. I do however get the occasional squirrel...

Same deal here, she's my DD so I have to be careful with her.

i love the jeep man! i have a 97 tj with the 2.5 auto in it, mine is red but with a tan soft top. i was actually looking for a cheap hard top and full doors to put on mine, i don't care much for a soft top, any ideas where i could get a good deal?

Unfortunately there are no such things as cheap TJ hardtops and full doors. Best you will find will most likely be $8-900 for the top and maybe $7-900 for the doors unless you stumble into a great deal. Good luck!

Full hard doors are over rated. Mine sit in the garage 100% of the time now. I would kill for a set of armrests (half doors).

I would trade my full doors for half doors any day, as for the hard top... that will probably never happen I like my Rapmage frameless top too much lol. Safari mode every chance I get

I'll keep my full doors, but I do want a set of soft half doors for when I don't feel like going full doorless.

As for the top, a hard top will never touch Georgette as long as she is mine. lol

@LilYeller... DO IT! Go for the half doors! I just bought my YJ in March, but I plan to keep either half doors or no doors on her, and nothing more than a soft top. As soon as the weather evens out here, I'll be switching over to the bikini top for the summer. But for me, a jeep isnt a jeep with doors and a top

So, it's been a year since I bought my dear Georgette, thought I would post an updated pic.
The day I bought her....

As she sits today...

Nice jeep and cool transformation over the first year. Even with all the mods you've done to it there's always more room on the list lol. I too was looking for anything other than red, but it does look good on a jeep. I'll have my jeep for one year coming up in July and am trying to get things done to it before then for the one year transformation pic. Don't think my before and after pics will be as good as yours tho.
