Haha I doubt that considering what I've seen the 3.6 do. Especially with 42s. All the while using half the weight. It would benefit a TJ greatly.

Why not a V8? Because it's far cheaper for similar performance.

And yeah, I've seen. It's just a question of price at this point. We'll see eventually.

I decided to see what the NM forum here had to offer...it isn't much. I must say WF is pretty docile. I'm still on JF and that's where the majority of my post go. But my build is here haha.

Also. Does that mean you can finally go wheeling?

Hey man, I found your build thread on JF when I was researching JK Rubi axles so I can swap them under my LJ. I really like the way your rig turned out and wanted to ask you some questions as I will be tackling the same thing you did very very soon.

What is the backspacing on your wheels that you used to mount to the rubi axles. From the pictures it doesn't look too wide, I am trying to gauge how much backspacing I will need so I am wide but not too wide.

When you got the front axle under there, did you have an problems with your pinion hitting the exhaust during flex?

Did you use a modified JK draglink or created a custom draglink?

Great build and thank you for taking the time to share :thumb:

I believe the BS is 4.5". I tried to not have a ridiculously wide TJ since the jk axles add 2.5" to each side.

I didn't have any issues with that pinion hitting the exhaust. It's close. But only because I'm
lower than most.

I actually modified the teraflex one I had on there before. We trimmed it down to fit. All the rest is JK steering.

Thanks for stopping in

Build list so far.
-12" fox coilovers resis front.
-12" fox coilovers resis rear.
-Custom 4 link. 4" stretch 100" wb
-aluminum blank corner guards. Painted shale green to match.
-Going to try and use the rokmen gets and mold the tank. If not I'll buy the genright stretch tank.
-40x13.50 toyo mts
-weld the rear MC flares 1" flush with the tub. And aprox 1-1.5" backwards towards the pinch seem.
-hiline the front MC fenders.
-hydro assist (maybe)
-new wheels. Moab remakes with 4.5" BS.

Overall goal is a lightweight, low TJ with built jk44s and 40s.

Goal height would be 19" to the frame (currently at 18.50")

6"up/6"down shock travel.

Will start purchasing parts probably next paycheck.

Definitely like your build up. Do you have details on the front JK 44 swap? i.e. what control arm brackets on the axle had to move? What control arms did you use? Still have stock TJ control arm frame brackets? Mine is going in this weekend so any info would be great! Thanks!
Of course bud.

The front bolted right up in terms of CA mounts.
Still used my TJ arms.

Steering was tricky. But all I did was ream the pitman arm out to fit. And cut the trackbar to size.

I used all jk steering apart from the teraflex trackbar from the Tj

Small update...Changed the panel from black back to silver to match the wheels, took the grill light guards off, dusted all my rock marks with flat black paint, cleaned her up, put the flares back on, and painted the calipers red. And took some stills of course.
