been off of WF for a while now sorry, jeep is 700 miles away at my uncles in DC lol im switching jobs and moving to Norfolk VA so i drove it from chattanooga to norfolk for a weekend and found a place to live than droped it off at my uncles and flew back home so i wouldnt have to tow it up there (as i already have to tow my camaro there), havent done much to the jeep, but in the next month or so i plan on - new adjustable control arm all the way around, new ball joints, new axle shafts up front, new brakes, new steering knuckles, install that SYE ive had forever now lol, and a new rampage top just waiting on the Qtec rep on here to get back to me about a discount might be a month and a half before i get it all on but its going to be awsome

Oh I will say that after driving the jeep to Norfolk and driving around for 2 days than up to DC (little over 1100 miles in 3 days) I would drive it anywhere.. I was really worried about how it would handle the long highway drive but I just got her up to 70 and put on the cruise and didnt have a single problem untill I got to Norfolk and that was a small problem (D-ring came off my front bumper, got run over by my front tire and flung up into the bottom of the jeep but didnt damage anything, just a nice little dent) AND I averaged 20MPG on the highway lol I budgeted for 15mpg so I was happy

also just got my spare tire cover back from a member on WF (Protek) who printed on it for me, looks awsome cant wait to get it on the jeep lol!

I have access to some private property in Pungo, about half an hour drive from Norfolk, that has some really nice trails and mud pits to play in. Some good fishing and crabbing as well.

I just marked them with a permanent marker (eye-balled it) then used a dremel to cut them, its a bit of a mess when you do it with the dremel tho because the flares melt as you cut them and you have to go back and clean it up afterwards, ive read quite a few people on here used just a regular sharp knife or box cutter to score them and just snap them off cleanly, id try that first if I did it again

ordered most of the items yesterday, and well over half of them showed up today from Q-tec lol, and that was with free shipping from the guy on here.. mad props to them for that lol!! anyways still waiting on the bumper, and adjustable control arms (which they told me are drop-shipped from the vendor so it will be about 2-3 weeks) also waiting on a gallon of herculiner before i cut my old tail lights out to put the new hybrid ones in

doesnt look like much but this is the winch, ball joints, steering knuckles and rear brake rebuild kit, also some new headers for my camaro but thats a different story

Finally got the gas tank skid installed lol, only been lugging it around for months! kind of dark but heres one pic i snapped, not sure i like how low it is I might put a 1" spacer kit on the rear since it is sagging a little from the armor / skid, but I want to wait untill i get the new front bumper and winch on to see how that levels it out

honestly not sure what brand it is, I found it on the side of the guys barn when I picked up the rear corner armor, it was rusted pretty bad and banged up like no other lol, I took a grinder to it and banged out all the big dents (actually did pretty good lol I was surprised) and primered / painted it, painted a fuel / oil resistant black paint on the inside and just gloss red on the outside

it fit right over top (with a little love lol) it is held on with 2 the bottom bolts for the rear bumper and 2 nuts from the front of the gas tank, its on there pretty good, ill try and get some dimensions if i can but it contours to the tank on the bottom part so not sure if a flat peice of steel (or aluminum) would work unless you lowered it a little bit

I can't cut an weld and have access to a bender if I need it bad enough. So. I'll just see what I can do. Don't rush cause it's pretty well back the list of mods.
