Well, I started making the changes to my 06 Rubi today. I decided to go with a 1.25" BL got that installed today. Funny thing is I needed to air down to get it out of the garage because of the PO has a 6" lift... currently still on it. I got the BL done and cursed thinking I had to take it off then my brain started working and said just air down.

The plan is to put Bilstein shocks and RK Coils on tomorrow, assuming coils show up tomorrow. Then the next step after I figure out if my Pinon angle is still good, will be the Currie steering upgrade. Then I'm done for a while...NO Really I am...famous last words right...

Then sometime in the next 3 weeks mount my beadlocks myself...I've decided to stick with MT MTZ's been very impressed with them. So gotta buy new rubber.

I know for a lot of you doing this stuff yourself is not a big deal... But it feels really good to be able to say, "I did it myself"! Just figure it out and do it.

FYI>>> I will be selling my MOTO METAL RIMS and MTZ's in the coming month. 35" 5x4.5 16" If you're interested let me know...

Well I just got done going through your build thread from start to finish for the second time and you have one awesome Jeep John! We need to go wheeling together again sometime soon. Keep it up man! :beerdrinking:
I really hate it when you JKers come in the TJ build threads and drool all everything, it's a real bitch to clean up! :mooning:
Thanks Cody!

Well, after some general maintenance on the new tow rig, new tires, brakes-calipers,rotors and pads, new glow plugs etc...we were ready for a test tow. Everything went well, only issue was the brake controller in the truck SUCKED! So that's been replaced with a Primus IQ brake controller...so much better!
