That's a nice kit. I think I'm gonna do this with a zone BB for my sis. 230 for spacers bumpstops and shocks.

I bought Rubicons express 1.75" blocks by themselves I got them from 4 wheelparts for like 30 dollars a pair. Kept the stock shocks which I'm gonna have to soon replace
I extended the bump stops with steel washers

I should post an updated pic of the Teraflex 2" with 31's and bedlined stock rims...

I did use a TC Drop at first (you can see it here)... but I swapped in a 1" MML and gained my clearance back... yeah...I got vibes when I did 2" BB

I installed a t-case drop of 1" to eliminate my vibes. I then decided to remove the t-case drop in favor of a 1" motor mount lift (MML) . the MML gave me the same reduction in angle at the driveshaft yoke that the t-case drop provided... the benefit is raising the bellypan back up to the frame ( gaining my 1" back).

Did the fan hit the radiator shroud after you lifted the motor? How did you lift it? Aftermarket motor mounts? I would rather lift the motor than drop the t-case mount.

Thanks.

The shroud will need to be raised about 1/2"... took 5 minutes with a dremel tool to elongate the 4 mounting holes.

I made my own MML from this link...

Finished home made BMML - JeepForum.com

If you don't want to fab one up, RC has the cheapest I have seen for around $54

Nice job and clean jeep and bumper.
So let me get this straight, you can use the stock shocks when using a 2" budget boost?

Thanks....

As for keeping your stock shocks...absolutely... Some will say its best to replace them.... in some cases I would agree. If your shocks aren't bad, why? If you wheel it using your head, there are ZERO ISSUES.... I did The Rubicon Trail (the back half from Cadillac to the river) last Sept with my setup.... with discos up front, I had no issues at all....sure.. I scraped all my underside from being so low, but I made it .

Nice work. How was the ride quality result? I would think the BB would dampen some of the rigidity of the stock configuration.?

I got a great idea on how to get this installed quick and safe . I figured a few ramps with junk disconnected might aid in the process. IT DID!!!

Here is what I started at.... 31's and 18.5" from the ground to the body...

Here is the process I did to get 2" under my TJ in under 2 hours...

1. I Got under it and disconnected the front and rear swaybar endlinks.
2. Drive up ramps with one in front and one in rear at opposite corners to get the axles to flex out.

3. Lift the front wheel NOT on the ramp with a floor jack and remove the wheel. Support the frame with a jackstand behind the LCA.
4. Disconnect lower shock mount and spring retainer clip...lower floor jack to enough to pull the spring out.
5. Remove the bumpstop by pulling on it, then unbolt the bumpstop cup from the spring cup.
6. Place the 2" spacer onto the upper mount and reinstall the bumpstop cup with the extension provided in the kit.
7. Slide spring back into position.

8. Jack up the axle slowly to seat the spring and reinstall the lower shock bolts. Reinstall spring retainer clip.
9. Reinstall wheel and lower completed side to the ground.
10. WAIT UNTIL ALL FOUR CORNERS ARE DONE TO RECONNECT THE FRONT AND REAR SWAY BAR END LINKS.
11. Move to the opposite corner of your Jeep. ( I did right-front first, then left-rear)
12. Follow same basic procedures as front...

Once all four corners are done... reinstall the end links of the swaybars on front and rear.

DONE!!

In less than 2 hours... I was done and back on the road! Now sitting at 20.5" from the ground to the body.

Here is BEFORE...

Here is AFTER...

ENJOY!!!
Thanks for the great write up! I've saved it and hope to use it this week. Quick question though, did you use rear bump stop extensions? I see 4 of them in your parts picture, but not in the picture of the rear with the block installed. Also, if adding 2 inches front and back, why are the bump stop extensions different in height?
Thanks again!

You don't see the rear bumps on extension because it is tucked up inside the lift puck

No problem. I always try to post up my installs for others to gain ideas from.

And yes the rear bumpstops are tucked up and you can't see them.

I did this Saturday and it worked slick, I was a little worried before I started but once I got going everything made perfect sense, I've never worked on anything like this before but I can follow directions. GREAT writeup! Thanks!

I'm missing a spring retainer clip on the passenger side however, not sure when or where it came loose but I need to get one asap.
