True 3-Link and Single Triangulated 4-Link build

What started out as a rear coil relocation has evolved into a mini build thread for my suspension. Currently running a 5.5" Long arm setup with Rough Country arms, Metalcloak dual-rate front coils, Rock Krawler rear coils, Rancho 9000xl shocks. Got the WJ knuckle swap with a tie rod flip and GM one ton rod ends.
Just ordered 1.25" Currie Johnny Joints for the lower arms, and the front upper link, 1" Joints for the rear upper arms. Got Artec 4 link mounts for the frame side rear, an Artec 8.8 truss and upper link mounts. Clayton hooked me up with a 3 link truss for my HP dana 30. Using 2" .250 wall for the 3 link arms, and the rear lower arms. Going with 1.75" .120 wall for the rear triangulated uppers. Pics of parts when they get here.

Thanks. Dropped a ton of money on parts this week. Hopefully it'll pay off and I'll learn a bunch during the build.

That's officially "Huge by Large"

I've been looking at the Clayton products and like the triangulated setups they have, thanks for sharing! This'll be a good education!

Yeah the Clayton truss looks very well put together. Looking forward to getting this project going.

Got my DOM in today. They sent me 4 lengths of 5 ft instead of 5 lengths of 4 ft. Got my 8.8 calipers flipped to the front of the axle and installed a set of Spidertrax wheel spacers to alleviate the tires rubbing on the coils on bumps.

Artec brackets shipped out yesterday from AZ. Will be here Wednesday of next week. I'll be starting the teardown of my current suspension Monday most likely and welding the front truss up.

Artec was backed up on the dual 4 link brackets, so it's gonna be another week or so before I see them. The other brackets and my truss will be here Wednesday I believe.

Long arms. Planning on keeping a standard length rear and adding some length to the front arms.

Mocking up the front truss on my old low pinion d30. Rear truss and brackets minus the dual 4 link brackets will be here tomorrow. Have a buyer for my RC arms so I'll begin the teardown tomorrow night after work.

I probably missed it, but what rear frame brackets are you using? Interested in seeing how this goes.
I have the Artrec truss on my 8.8 and am considering a four link setup.

Got the build underway. 4 link brackets will be here next Tuesday, but I have plenty of work to do before then. Got the Clayton truss welded up (thing is nice). Tomorrow I'll figure out how long my front control arms will be and where my front track bar mount goes.

Got the 8.8 out, cut the track bar and upper control arm mounts off. Artec truss went on nice. Fit like a glove. I had welded the tubes a while ago so I had to grind that a little to fit the truss on. I'm very pleased with it. Finished pulling the RC kit off as well.
Is anyone watching this? Don't want to be wasting my time posting if nobody cares haha.

I'm definitely keeping an eye on this. So ur not wasting ur time I hope to redo my suspension with a 3 link front and triangulated 4 link rear eventually but i just dropped all the extra cash i had on a set of beadlocks. so this is giving me some insight for when I finally get around to it

Which beadlocks are you going with? And yeah, glad I went with Artec brackets. They were a little more expensive than others, but the truss fitment as well as link mounts are awesome.
Started doing some work figuring out where I want my 3rd link in the front. Got to make sure I'm out of the way of my driveshaft at all times haha. I figured that I'd go with equal length lowers vs. upper to keep everything relatively neutral throughout the range of movement on the axle.

Went with trail ready beadlocks found a guy selling some at a reasonable price in good shape

Got a lot done today. I tacked in all of the front frame side brackets. And got the front control arms cut to length and welded. I'm burning everything in now.
