What washer bottle did you go with and why? Plan on a highline?

Edit: I see now, I like to read backwards

I tried ordering those last year and they wouldn't ship. I have a local guy who can do DOM now so those are in the works.
Thanks! Took the Shield to the range this past weekend. LOVE it. Handled very well and my wife did awesome with it.

I am building hi-line fenders and the stock bottle is too large to fit easily. This one is small enough to fit just about anywhere.

If your friend can bend tube, these would be very easy to do yourself. These are just HREW, which is a bit cheaper than DOM. Apparently that is all any of the companies use for these applications.....plenty strong.

I gave the Jeep a little attention this weekend in the form of an oil change and bath. I almost hate washing it because I see how bad the paint is. It looks good from a few feet away, but up close it gets rough.

Wow. What a steal. Even in salvaged condition, TJs are always worth a couple/few thousand.
My buddy bought a TJ from a friend last year for $2000. We have put about $6000 into it and have turned it into a pretty sweet Jeep.

My wife kickin' butt at the range. Don't judge her form. It was her first time handling a gun....of any kind. I was a proud man!

(Shooting my Christmas present from her....S&W Shield .40)

We installed the same setup in the black project Jeep. They are great.
I've been running DDM Tuning HIDs on Suburban for at least three years now and I live them.

I am probably going to wait to install the rear LEDs for when I install the rear corner armor. I really don't feel like having to cut new holes when they don't line up perfectly.

This is what I plan to do. I will hang on to them until I get the rear corner armor. I'll use that for my cutting template.

Other than the battery tray solution, the other various loose ends are taken care of.
Can you share that link for the windshield washer bottle?

You going to take those steps off in favor of the electric ones you put on?

Yes, most definitely at some point.....when I feel like dropping $800 on them. Hahaha. I really want them though.

I ended up getting a spray-in bedliner put in, goose neck (just in case), tinted the windows, and a hard roll cover put on. Auto-drop steps will have to wait for another day

What are the warrior reverse lights? I still need to figure something out for my reverse?

Here is a link to them. I have no experience with them, but they looked like they would fit the bill nicely.

Warrior Part 2910 - Universal LED 2" Reverse Light Kit

I did not want a driving light style of reverse light. I wanted something flush/low profile. These will sit flush just like the brake lights.

So here I am, sitting with my laptop, reading for an hour about this great buildup on a TJ. How awesome is this ?! I love the write up Patrick. It's -4 outside, yes you heard it right, and wanting to get out and start doing my own projects on my TJ. Will have to wait, but impressed with showing step by step each idea you've either done or are going to do. Keep it up, you truly are an inspiration to us that like to improve what we have. Scott

I really appreciate that you went through the whole thing. I know it has not been too adventurous lately, but I am hoping for some more updates soon.

I went with these small led bolt style lights http://www.amazon.com/dp/B007PBPI68/..._M3T1_ST1_dp_1

I just don't think I like the bigger light look in the bumper or corners. Will see. These are 4.5W each so hopefully bright.

I really like the look of those. I would like to see some pictures of those when you get them installed. I haven't installed the Warrior lights yet, so there is still plenty of time to change my mind.
All I knew is that auxillary lights (fog lights) used as reverse lights would not work with my setup.

The electronics nerd came out in me yesterday. I bought some parts to put a cool system together. It will be somewhat for show, but will serve some actual purpose.

I will post the specifics when the parts come in.

How much of an electronics nerd? I am trying to design a cool backup/video system for my jeep. There is the cheap and easy way but not where I want to be ... Just saw the RaspberryPI Camera pop up and thinking I am going to wait for a few months and see what I can hack together.

Got my backup LEDs installed last night and will get some pictures when I take it outside. So far pretty happy. Will see once I get it out in the light etc. At least in my garage they seem to be plenty bright but will test that tonight too.

Here ya go! They seem to be plenty bright enough (actually my wife asked if they were legal they were so bright in the garage after I installed them) but will check tonight.

I really like how small those are. I am going to have to put some thought into those.

It's funny you mentioned backup camera....what I was mentioning is a front/rear camera setup. I just got my screen in yesterday. I went with a 4.3" screen with 2 video inputs. The screen allows for the image to be reversed, which means that the front camera image can be displayed in the correct direction; however, running both cameras would leave one image reversed......or the direction would have to be changed each time the camera is switched.
I am not really sure I am interested in running two monitors for this; mounting one clean enough is going to be a challenge (I'm up for it though).
I plan to run each camera on a switch and the rear also tied into the reverse. The rear will act as a reverse camera, but will be able to turn on with a switch when not in reverse.

I am not completely sure where the front camera will be mounted, but I am pretty good on the rear setup.
I think I will have to play around with the front camera to get the best location for largest viewing area....and then figure out how I want to mount it.

Here is said screen....

The obvious idea is that you would use the screen for a backup camera and as a screen for an aux. video device.

Tonight or tomorrow once i am not on my phone I will send you the setup I had mocked and see what you think. Still tempted by a carputer so I never pulled the trigger.
