Well, I am going to do the basic fit-up at the house....just tack the tubes. Then I'll take it in for full welding. It would be a pain if I couldn't at least do the tack welding at the house.

I am still considering selling the whole setup and going with the Bestop Trektop NX, but at least for now, having the OEM sailcloth is fantastic....just wish it was black diamond.

This morning, I installed an auxillary input for my Alpine headunit. I rigged up a flush mount, dash mounted input. This aux input terminates at a 3.5mm headphone jack. That allows me to plug in any device to play through the stereo, but I did this specifically so I can plug my Evo 4G in.

I picked up these three parts from Ebay for about $12 total.

Next on the list there is a bracket to mount/hold my phone.
All late and wrong but what exactly did you get for this to work? I have a Similar Alpine headunit

There are a few ways of doing this, but here are the parts I bought to do it.
When I originally did the setup, I was using an Android (HTC) phone, so the headphone jack was great.
Shortly after, I swapped to an iPhone, and just use the direct connection for that so it charges and plays. I still have the jack just in case I use a different MP3 player or something.

one of these

one of these

one of these

and whatever length of 3.5mm male to male cable you want.

A couple things showed up on the doorstep yesterday.

I suppose I sold out with my 'custom' version of the tailgate bracket. Last week I decided to just order the TNT version. I am at the point where I just want it complete, and the fact is their lines are better than mine.
Because they did away with that lower hump, I still have plenty of room to mount the LED 3rd brake light, which is one of the reasons I didn't order it in the first place.

I can't say I'm a fan of the paint/powdercoat they used. It's a textured, matte finish and I'm more of a smooth satin finish kinda person. When the rest of the armor is ready for powdercoating, I will take this in and have it re-coated.

The FedEx packages I was waiting for were dropped off. Completely pumped about getting these installed.

That is a 50" bar, 13" bar, 2x2 cube, and a 2x3. I have two of the 2x2s and two of the 2x3s...only one of each pictured.

The Genright windshield armor I posted on the previous page is obviously for building a mount for the 50" bar. It is about $100 cheaper than the PSC mount, and it is actually contoured to the windshield frame, unlike the PSC which is more boxed.
I am going to make a mount for the 13" bar to sit just above the roller fairlead. It will just be a simple mount that will sandwich between the fairlead mount and the fairlead itself.

Some technical info on the lights.....

All CREE LEDs

50" - 21000 lm
13" - 5280 lm
2x2 - 1440 lm
2x3 - 6000 lm

They make great fog/spot lights.

Also that looks like a ton of money to me.

The 2x2s are going on the windshield in place of the Hella 500s that are there now. I am not sure about the 2x3s. They are bigger than I was expecting and I'm not sure I want to run them on the windshield. Basically, still deciding on them. I might end up installing them on one of the fleet trucks to see how the oil field guys like them.

Hahaha. No. My 'field truck' is getting a 20" bar. Kicking myself for not ordering it with these.
Oh well, next order.

Genright rear corner armor, windshield guards, and light tabs will be home today (according to UPS tracking)! Motivation to get my 'honey-dos' completed.

Finished the fairlead LED bar mount a couple days ago. Paint is drying.

Obvious first.....is your washer nozzle hose hooked up? Could be the motor which is attached to the bottle. Could also be the switch. Try to trouble shoot that one before taking it somewhere.

I'm not sure on the cruise.

If both stopped workin at the same time, you might look at fuses. They could be tied into the same circuit.

I have been told that Dillons on Gaston and Cinco are very fair and quick.

It happened separately, so I will check a couple more things before I bring it anywhere.

I will keep Dillons in mind...THANKS!!!

Time to CL the fenders before they get all scratched up lying on the floor! it's looking really nice. When you think you'll be able to drive it again?

Too late in the scratch department! They are in good shape, but need repainting....like the rest of the Jeep.

I am hoping to get some real work done on the front fenders this weekend. I have done almost all of my yard work, so I should be able to play in the garage
Honestly, I can't get done soon enough. There is lots of wheeling going on right now that I am missing out on. Part of me wishes I just held out and ordered some front fenders, but they are just soooo expensive. If I keep dragging these out any longer, I just might have to order some!

I bolted up the Genright windshield armor to see how they fit. I am impressed with the fit of these. The contour of the guards wraps the windshield frame very well. I think they are going to be a great platform to build the light bar tabs off of.

BDS 2" coils are ordered.

With 3.25" of lift and hi-lines, this thing is going to be screaming for 35s.

I am hoping the 2" f/r will sit fairly level when all is said and done. I hate to do it, but if needed, I will run a 3/4" spacer up front (already have). If that is just not enough, I'll swap them out for some 3".

Whether a 3"/2" is needed is really a vehicle by vehicle sorta deal.

Mounted up the 2x2s. Pretty impressive light for the small package.

My BDS 2" coils came in yesterday.

My new Firestick antenna also came in....2' instead of my 4'.
Now I need to route the cable up through the tailgate.

I had one of the guys in the shop make new brackets for my tow bar to adapt to the shackles on my bumper.

I like that shackle setup. Would love to fab up something like that so I could flat tow mine for the Jamboree. Will you be using any kind of e-brake wiring so the jeep can help stop your tow rig?

Are those lights as bright as I THINK they are? What was their lumen rating again (looking back in thread to see if you already said it)?

It worked great this weekend! The two-fiddy didn't even know it was back there. I had to remind myself that I was pulling something to keep my speed reasonable.

They are very bright. The duallys are like 1200 lumens each. The 13" bar above the winch is around 5500 and the 50" bar is in the neighborhood of 21000 lumens.
