Thanks! I am excited to get in there and get the garage set up. Trying to get quotes for someone to do the garage floor coating.

I finally got the Monstaliner ordered. Unfortunately, the big compressor is in storage and I'm not sure if I want to try spraying it with the little compressor.....also ordered the Schutz gun along with the liner.
I think I will be waiting until the new house is done (and weather cools off) to do the job.

I do look forward to finally having the interior coated and clean looking.

When you start the Monstaliner project, let me know. I am considering doing it and I want to know what I'm getting into.

Don't go there. The doors are shaped differently.

I certainly will. As I'm sure you know, the prep is all the work. I have rolled Herculiner in a buddy's truck, but a good friend (erickpl) has the Monstaliner and supports it as do thousands of other Jeepers.
I like the look of the texture when sprayed, so I am excited to take that route. It will require more masking and 'tarping', but getting good at that won't be so bad....then we can do yours

I ended up rolling mine. I had a gun and a good compressor available but decided to roll it. Turned out really good. If I had it to do again I think I would turn out even better. It has been about 4-5 weeks now an there is just a little smell left if I leave the trail cover on for an extend time but it is VERY dry where I am. I could not be happier. Good luck.

I have decided to give the Metalcloak Duroflex joints a shot for my control arms. I am starting with the rear uppers first. I will do the rear lowers next.

What I ordered:

Ruff Stuff
DOM tubing - 1.75" OD x .25" wall - 1.25" ID
Tube adapters - 7/8" x 1.25"

Metal Cloak
Fixed End x2 - 2" OD x 2" W Duroflex Joint, 2 1/4" Housing

I still need to order the threaded joint ends, but I can get the tube cut to length, tube insert welded in, and tube for fixed end welded on by the guys in the shop in the meantime.

It actually does come out a little cheaper to buy their CA ready to go, but this route allows me to space out the expense...those joints are not cheap!!! (as much as $10-$20 more than Currie JJs)
Additionally, I am getting a stronger control arm than they offer; might not be necessary, but whatev.

It was Friday night, lift night.

Decided since there was a nice breeze and the temperature dropped down to the low 90s, I would install the BDS 2" coils and N2.0 shocks I've had sitting, waiting to be installed for several months.

Started mounting the Genright mini-boatside rockers today. I would've gladly finished the first side, but I can't find me 11/32" drill bit for the rivnuts....and it's like 135* outside.

Once you get past banging the ever-livin' stuff out of your perfectly good rockers, the install appears to be a breeze. When it is all bolted up, I will mark the rear of the guard and trim off the excess.....they come long enough to accommodate a stretch.

With these installed, it will make building the front fenders a bit easier since we will know how to trim them to clear the bend in the rocker, from the start.

Since I have the tubes on the rocker guards, it is getting me thinking about adding some to the rocker armor as rub rails.

Discount Tire! Dropped it off yesterday evening so it would be the first one in line this morning.

Goodyear MT/R 35x12.50r15

You should come out to El Jarito tomorrow evening. We are having the monthly Jeep meetup there. Should be about 30 Jeeps in attendance.
Look up Katy Off Road Enthusiast on facebook.

Good for you! Have you ever installed a lift before.

So far so good. I drove it all day yesterday and I am very happy with them at the moment. The N2.0 shocks are temporary, but are really not bad. It is a firm ride, but not rough by any stretch.
Because of the weight of my front bumper and winch, I needed to keep the 3/4" spacer installed to keep it level with the rear. That setup along with the 1.25" body lift makes plenty of room for the 35s with no rubbing. Once the front hi-lines are built, I won't have any clearance issues offroad.

Sweet, then ill definitely go with the bds coils and im already ordering bilstein 5100s. Its good to know you are clearing 35's with the 2" and a body lift, as thats the direction I want to take, hopefully with some metalcloaks or rokmen highlines, although those will come after the hp30 and possibly a tummy tuck . Are you experiencing any vibes?

No... Never installed one! Gonna attempt it with jacks and Jack stands first before I put it on a lift. Anyone know any deals on 33 inch tires? I'm on 31s now. I kinda wanna install everything in one shot. Looking for cheap(ish) all weather tires with a moderate tread.. I've went to walmart but they don't carry 33s and ice tried looking online but no luck

Look into the BFG all terrain or the duratrac. Not cheap, but they will last and do well offroad. I installed my lift in my garage with jacks and stands

X2 on bfg or duratracs. Try looking on craigslist. They usually have pretty good prices.
