I am going to Duplicolor spray bomb the fenders (inner and outer), hood, and cowl.
The rockers and rear corner armor will be powdercoated the same matte black as the rest of the coated items.

Dropped the corner armor off too!

Those pieces being finally coated are really going to transform/clean up the look of the Jeep.

Sweet... I just got my PSC rocker knockers back from the powder coaters. I went with the GenRight G3 fenders and I am going to match them with my paint color. I honestly have been considering returning the GenRights to get the PSC 3'' Tapered fenders but not sure how that would work. I only received the rears so far so really shouldn't be a problem.

On another note, received almost all my MC suspension parts. Just waiting on springs, rear sway bar links and sway bar disconnects. Can't wait to get them on

Me too! With the holiday yesterday, it will likely be end of the week before they are done.

Corner guards and rockers are done with coating!

Will only be working on the other project this weekend, so it will be next week before any pics.

You never told us what this "other project" was.

A new jeep?

It has a Dana rear axle, but it's not a jeep.

Made some good progress on it today. Will post some pics soon.

I have a feeling he will be working on a PURPLE PROJECT soon.

Just had the bushings delivered this past week. Will be ordering the Blistiens this week along with the disconnects.

Yes front and rear 289 shipped.

If you want a set here's his email, all you have to do is email him year and lift size.
kolak@aol.com. He's a great guy to deal with and fast shipping.

[QUOTE=TXST8tj;9598746]The holes for the accessories are not predrilled. The mounting of all of that is up to the end user. Not everything fits with this setup. The stock airbox won't work (cleanly) nor will the stock washer fluid bottle (cleanly). I have been running a temporary intake setup for a while now. It will eventually be run through the cowl. I also have a smaller washer bottle to mount. There should not be much issue with mounting everything else.

I will certainly post pictures after I get everything lined out.

Patrick- Great write up and good looking jeep.

I am currently installing the same PSC fenders and was wondering if you had an issue with remounting evap system - could you just remount it or have you had to be ingenious around that one aswell?

If you have pictures that would be cool?

Check out my build thread, he posted some pics and instructions a couple weeks ago and I have been posting my progress as well. Basically you have to disassemble the whole thing and cut some pieces off the stock mounting brackets. Let us know if you have questions

What washer fluid bottle did you go with and what are you doing for temporary intake? I'm gona look through and see if I can find it.

Also what size are your MTRs?

Looking real good, making me excited for all my junk to come in!

I bought this bottle on eBay a while back. I can't find it listed anymore, but it is just a universal bottle with built-in pump.
The stock bottle will work actually, but this one is much smaller making it less crowded under there.
I will have to snap an installed picture.

The MT/Rs are 35".

For the intake, I bought a Spectre universal builder/DIY intake kit and just made up an elbow to get it working.
I am planning to get the Spectre cowl intake kit. I was going to make it myself with what I have, but the pieces are all plastic and I don't feel like investing that much time in something like that.

Thank you for answering my butt-load of questions. Our jeeps are going to turn out very similar. I really want to pony up for the pitbulls but the price difference with the MTR is killing me.

I am running 4.88s, 35" with my 4cyl and 5spd
5.13s would be ideal, but I need a d44 up front before I can do that.
It runs pretty good as-is, but again, 5.13s would be better for what I have.

Love the questions!
The pitbulls are awesome, but I am really excited to see what these MT/Rs are made of.

So I am just about done with the "other" project, so my wife is happy and I can get back to the Jeep.
(It just happens to match my Jeep )

Just have to install the head and tail lights and it will be ready for inspection and registration, then will be street legal and they can drive it around the neighborhood.

LED lightbar and performance mods to come.....parts in hand, but not install priority.

By the way.....this is how it started

Are the 4.88's good for highway use? As a daily driver and such? How are the RPM's?

4.88s with the 4cyl and 5spd and a 33" tire will perform like stock.
With 35s, it is completely tolerable, but I do find myself wanting a little more juice.

I think if you are running 35s with the same 4cyl setup I have, it's really the best you can do without swapping axles, so it really doesn't matter how pleasant it is....cause that is as good as it's going to get.
With that said, I would be fine daily driving it with the current setup.

Thanks! I wouldn't say cheap, but it is all relative to where you live I guess.

Mostly finished with the golf cart....everything to get it registered and drive it as much as we like.

We drove it around a lot this weekend for neighborhood 4th festivities and trips to the pool.

Still have to install the fender flares, the heavy duty reversing contactor, 400amp controller, and HD solenoid.

Waiting for a custom bracket for an LED lightbar I have to install on it.
Also going to put a cheap stereo in it.

In Jeep related news....since there hasn't been much of that lately....I got the corner guards installed as well as the passenger side rocker guard. I just ran out of steam and time between that, working on the cart, and getting some of the garage cleaned.

I'll get the drivers side rocker done in the next day or two.

I have a small oil leak. Need to figure that out before I try to do any off-roading.
