Thanks! It's been slow, but I have to say that it does look 10x better than it did when I bought it, even if it's "small" now.

Step aside 12gal direct-drive oiled compressor!

I also got a new air compressor for the garage. It is technically used, but it was only run once.....so it's "new" to me! I had the 220v outlet added this morning and it is running perfect. It's a 60gal single stage, belt-driven unit. It should suit me just fine.

I picked up an inline filter (water) for it but need to go back to HD to pick up some fresh fittings for it to get it all connected.

Looks nice you have pretty good attention to detail. That's what separates a nice vehicle from a great one.

To the uninformed eye, this looks like a piece of bent steel plate.
To the informed eye (which now includes you), this is the start of my new front bumper.

It is obviously in its infancy, but I am using spare material, in spare time. I was able to enlist a couple eager guys in

To my eye, I'm not seeing any pics. Is this the pic you sent yesterday?

Yeah, I missed the previous page. Stupid browser and laptop change... lol It's taking shape nicely. Looking forward to seeing how it comes out. I still need to figure out what I'm going to do about my winch mount and the curve it has...

Next Corbeau shipment is due tomorrow. I know my 4-year old will be happy. He hasn't been able to ride in the Jeep since I pulled the rear seat a month ago and sold it with the stock front seats.

Front bumper is making progess. SLOW progress, but it is moving forward. I am doing the little parts that I can, but then passing it over to the professional welders. I do hope to have it complete by the end of next week.

Here is where I'm at with the bumper.....I drilled the top mounting holes this evening (not shown). I am going to mock up the bottom and sides this weekend and get it back to the shop for final welding of those parts.

Can't wait to get this thing sandblasted!

No sense in letting it just sit there in the entry-way....

I won't be spending any time in that seat, but it is comfortable!

I played the other day (horribly) and haven't bothered to take the sticks upstairs. I was evicted from my downstairs closet...stupid Dyson.
I'm no good, but it's still fun!

A present showed up for me Friday. It was a 'thank-you' present from some people I've been doing some side work for.
It came in just in time for the trip to Creekside Edge on Saturday.

I did not know that Rough Country made winches, have any experience with them?

Haha. Yeap. I got to/had to use it once this past weekend.....to pull out a JKU. It did its job very well (as well as I could've hoped).
It came with a wireless remote which is what I used.....VERY cool feature!

I have always planned on a Warn 9.5ti, but this was a gift, and I am happy to have it; although, I expect plenty of hate for it. The Warn winch is not slated for quite a while down the build plan. Having something in the meantime is great.

I do plan to swap the cable for a synthetic line as soon as I can swing it.

My buddy has the quadratec winch, and I have installed a few of the Smittybilt XRC winches. I would say this RC winch is right in line with either of them.

Stretched my Jeep's legs this past weekend at Creekside Edge in Splendora. The park is North of Houston. Was about an hour drive from Katy.

My sister drove her JK down from Dallas to go wheeling. She has been asking to go since she bought the Jeep 4 years ago. This was her first time wheeling. The only issue she ran into was realizing that she has missed out on this for the last 4 years. She is pretty well hooked. She already stopped at the tire shop to get a quote on new "aggressive" tires.

Also wheeled with one of my customers and his 2012 JKU with 4.75" of lift and 35" Trail Grapplers.

A WJ with 4" lift and 33s.

And a stock JKU Rubicon.

Nice shots. That WJ is how I would have LOVED to set up our 2000 WJ if we had kept it. Our daughter had used it to do a defensive driving class at Willow Springs Raceway in Rosamond, Ca back when we lived in Tehachapi.

Never drove the same after that! lol Wonder why!

So is your sister considering other mods besides the tires? Sounds like she'd be a PERFECT candidate for a Jeep Jamboree.

The WJ was nice, but he didn't have any recover points, which was actually an issue right there as he was 'stuck'. That first picture of mine is in that same spot....didn't have a single issue.
It has a great stance, but he needs to do some major trimming to fit those 33s better.

My sister is planning on new tires and wheels. She likes the black Pro Comp 7089 and some variation of an all terrain....BFG AT or possibly the Goodyear Duratrac.
She also wants some 'pocket style' Bushwacker flares. I'm not crazy about them, but it's her Jeep and she loves them. She would like some new bumpers, but those may or may not happen.
She is short (I got all the height in the family) so she is not interested in a lift of any sort, although I might be able to slip a leveling spacer in the front.
If she continues her offroad adventures, I will suggest some swaybar discos as she wheeled connected this past weekend.
