Does anybody know of any problems with the freedom tops on the 09's leaking?I have browsed on here. Seems like alot of the 08's have the problem.Any info would be great thanks.

Depends if yours was built on a Friday. That's why you have a warranty

I went to look at it.It was drizzling there were no signs of any leaks.

The '09 softtop is a bit different- ask Geoff (Geoff@Bestop on here)- he could tell you. The 2010 is also "new and improved"- Mark W.

It's not the soft top. It's the hard top with the freedom option.

Mine is a 08 and so far no leaks.It seems like a hit and miss kinda thing.

A lot of the 07's that had problems. 08 seems to have corrected the problem. Sorta

I have a new 09 Wrangler Unlimited with the dual top . It has been raining for 5 days since i have picked up the truck from the dealer ... no problems so far

My 09 "X" with the so-called "Freedom" top leaked. PLUS the passenger side panel actually accumulated water inside the panel. Dealership sent my Jeep to a body shop where they replaced all of the gaskets, etc and they replaced the defective panel. No runs, drips or errors since then.

i'm going to try a differnt dealer.They have a used 09 x soft top with 12,000 miles on it.There asking 20 and change.Going to try to get them down to 18.

If you weren't approved at all, it might not have been a $ issue, but a credit score/history issue. A different vehicle may not be the solution, but best of luck! Mark W.
