Well, for the first time there is a benefit to living the the greater Toledo metro area. This morning I ran a recon to Stickney Ave to look at the Jeep Plant lot and found these three 'Commandos' sitting in line waiting to be shipped.

I'm pleased with the color and look forward to your comments. Enjoy............

Great pictures and congrats on being the first to post them. I don't think that I care for the Commando Green, but it may grow on me after time as did previous desert style colors on the YJs

Nice work....That full body color Rubi doesn't look bad, after thinking that might be a bit too much green. I wonder if any of the three belong to anyone on the boards?

I, unfortunately, must trade in my 2012 Rubicon. I think I'm going to inquire about getting a Sport model in this color now that I see just what it looks like. With 1/2 doors.

I must say my first reaction is a little dissapointed. The color seems just a little too light for my personal taste. Maybe with a mild lift and black wheels it would work better. I have a new 2DR commando Rubicon ordered and am seriously debating on changing my order if possible.

Not to keen on the color, not really a fan of painted fenders or matching hardtop but I think with that color the rubi looks the best.

It is lighter than I thought it would be, but I also realize it's just the first photos we're seeing.

I'm thinking with tinted windows and some mods it'll come together. At least in my mind I have it pictured looking a good bit different than stock.

nice job snaggin these pics! this definitely makes me realize not to trust any sort of photoshop, mockup, etc... this looks quite a bit different than any of the renderings, not a huge fan. ranger, see if you can find us a billet!

The rubi deff looks the best, however I can't tell if it is because of the color match top/flares or the darker wheels???? Must be both! Seen the Sahara and was like hell no then I seen the Rubi and was like Have to give it to Jeep for always taking risk with colors, it seems to payoff the most diehard fans you meet seem to mostly have Crush or such colors! (I do not have a Crush)

What's up with the Silver Wrangler and Rubicon decals? It'd look so much better if they were black

x2 I think its the darker wheels. Those commandos would look killer with some argent pintlers or atx wheels with the Teflon finish.

Now I must buy another jeep!!!! That full body colored rubi looks AWESOME!! My wallet now hates WF

Just my opinion here, but I think the soft top Commando Greens are going to look more Jeep-ish, if that makes sense.

The uncertainty about what Commando would turn out to actually look like was the one thing nagging me when I ordered my Dozer. Now I can say, I don't HATE Commando, but it also doesn't really grab me and make me regret my color.

I am thinking perhaps they should have called it "Olive Gloss" though.

What type of camera did you use to take the pics? Based on the overall saturation and brightness of the pics, it may be showing a bit too bright, so the actual color may be a bit darker. Can you tell us if your pics are true to the actual color in real life?

I agree, I think black top and black fenders look better than all green. That's how I ordered mine.

Yea, it's already growing on me. And I think with the soft top, my blackwheels & 35's and my lift it's gonna be ok. I hope. LOL! It probably not too late for me to change my order but I think I'll be fine.

I agree is lighter than we've seen in the mock-ups and wonder how/if it will change in different light. It's a very bright sunny day today.
I ordered a JKU Sport w/Black Apperaance Group and will go for the green with black accent look. I too am surprised about the decals - they will have to come off - black outline American Flags on order from Desert Dog and I'll add subdued Ranger Tabs on the fenders.

I'm hoping the camera is playing tricks on the color because that looks like ugly split pea green. I was thinking it was going to be much darker.

It's kind of... pea soup green. I don't mind it with the black mix but the full colored hard top/flares is too much.

I want to see it with no top and a brown interior now! Someone break into that lot and make it so.
