Just curious if you shift through all 6 or do you skip?
I find myself going: 1-2-4-6.

Yeah I skip depending on the situation. Even with my 33s, I often times start out in 2nd if I'm not on an incline and will skip other gears depending on the rpms, etc.

I too start out in 2nd when I can. Good to know you can still skip/start out in 2nd with 33's.

I skip.
1, 3, 6
1,2,3,4,6
1,2,4,6
2,4,6
Depending on the situation.
I also skip on the down shift, especially for a passing gear when I mean to "get on it".
6 to 4 or even 6 to 3 if on straight away, level surface or down hill.

I always start off in 2nd from a rolling start. First only if I stop completely. I skip gears when going down hill if I think of it. I rarely think about shifting so usually I run through the gears anyway by habit. If you can get into the habit of skipping gears do it. It will save on gas and on wear and tear. To pass on the highway 6 to 4 usually does the trick.

To pass on the highway 6 to 4 usually does the trick. | Totally agree on the starting off in 2nd unless completely stopped. I find myself doing two kinds of shifting depending on the situation. If going up medium to steep inclines I shift across the middle and use all gears. If going up a small incline, flat surface or down hill I shift on the ends. Usually 2, 4, 6 unless completely stopped then 1, 2, 4, 6. Sometimes 1,3,5,6 or just 1,3,6.
Passing is usually on the ends of the shift pattern. I try and think of my shifting geometrically which helps me to respond more quickly if I want the jeep to get up and go. If in 6 then down to 4, if in 5 then down to 3. I do this because I'm usually in gas conservation mode at low rpm and when wanting to pass, downshifting only one gear doesn't put the jeep into the power band and it responds like a slug. After getting tired of that type of response I now downshift two gears from gas save mode.
I think shifting on the ends of the pattern keeps my brain from dithering upon the decision to shift. Occasionally my mind plays tricks on me and I actually have to think about speed and appropriate gear.
