First dent in my 2012

So my new Jeep made it 6 months without a dent or scratch. I know that 90% of the guys on here would say so what, it's a Jeep. But, I want it to be perfect. I took it to the dealer, and they gave me a quote of $300. The dent doesn't show up well in the picture, but there is a wrinkle that extends down to the 45 deg bend in the rocker panel.

My door looked like the worst part, but a wet rag took all the other guy's paint off , and there were no dents or scratches in my door.

How would you guys fix it?

Also, is there any rocker protection that would cover it up? I don't know of any sliders that come up that high.

Sidesteps or Rock guards cost $300 too, guaranteed people be careful then, ha.

I am sure you can get plenty of guys here suggesting that you either bedline or plastidip the rockers. I think you can probably get a can of touchup and hide the scar unless it is just too hideous.

I think even a truck would think twice about swinging a beat up door toward a rocker guard, lol. Will definitely put a dent in the door.

Ok, I'm sold! I'm not as concerned with my Jeep as I am with punishing the next idiot driver who does this to me. I don't care if that makes me a bad person.

Bushwacker trail armor will cover that up and is not too expensive.

I would say the bushwackers too. I Plan to get a set to cover the rub off from climbing in and out.

Bottle of touch up paint $10, rock rails $300ish, trashing the thoughtless a-hole's door, priceless.

Ditto. Build it like a tank, people get REAL careful

Going from a Civic that people hit at least once a month (no joke) to my Jeep, people park away from it. Except one idiot in a BMW who parked right under my rear bumper... I was tempted to reverse in 4-Lo over his hood.

Ace rails would have prevented that

No worries about anyone dinging me with these sliders, only dinging someone else, but as narrow as Jeeps are, I can fit in about anywhere and not worry about getting boxed in.

I've noticed the sheet metal on the JK's is much thinner thanthe TJ's. Just washed my '12 for the first time and was surprised how many "thin" spots there are. Definitely want to invest in sone armor of trees or rocks are in your future.
