About getting to that time of year! Has anyone have suggestions for storing the hard top on an '08 2DR Sahara. I have some space in my garage. Particulalry, I was wondering if those storage carts on quadratec are useful. I've heard that you should not such rest the hard top on the floor because the sides could bow, making it difficult to get the hard top to fit properly . . . . .

Also, do people also cover their hard tops while in storage?

Also, are there any other websites that I should be looking at?

i bought a cart from a guy off ebay that used it one season, i paid like 75 bux shipped, its the nicer one you see in quadratec. my hard top is being stored while i do a lot of work on it, but its the best money i ever spent, it takes up so much less space that way, and you can roll it out of the way. they make covers for outside storage i think, but if its inside i wouldn't worry.

To resurrect an old thread, I saw something interesting in your response here. I'm looking at getting a 4dr JK, and I've been mulling the hard top storage issue. I definitely want one for winter, but I've got no garage. I was thinking about kicking a buddy a few bucks to store it in his garage, but is it possible to store it outdoors without trouble? Does anyone do this, and what sort of "stuff" would I need to pick up to make it happen? As I'll be looking to buy either this summer or next, the first 'project' I'll have would be to take the sucker off and forget about it for several months!

Well, as far as theft I've got no worries... I could easily store it at my place with no trouble in my neighborhood (some people even leave their doors unlocked 'round these parts) and if nothing else I could store it at my mom's place on a hill in the middle of nowhere - same place I leave the popup.

The biggest concern is over leaving it out for a season or two before putting it on the jeep; like you said, they're expensive and I'd hate to ruin it before even getting any decent use out of it.

you say you have a garage; is there a reason you only asked about the carts and not the hoists? I have a lange hoist in my garage and couldnt be happier.
