Default hard top storage

we are getting the soft top installed today- we have no garage- is the soft top going to be ruined- we live in alabama - it's not that cold- no snow- i saw the hard top storaage dolly- the hard top is at my mom's and we need to move it into her basement- is this the best option since we don't have alot of people to move it - the wheels would be nice

Two people can move it easily if they're fit. It's just clumsy, not heavy.
I use a carpet remnant to slide mine around on.

OK- maybe we'll try to move it first- how should it be stored so the sides aren't damaged-

I take a couple of rubber pads and lay them out in a horseshoe pattern on the carpet remnant; I put the roof on that, rear-glass down. The rubber keeps the glass up in the air and supports the unit along the perimeter.
Easy to slide around; I shove it into a corner.
If you put it on its side, I heard that it might warp. And, for the love God, don't tweak the glass...

I guess I am a little confused- should the top be stored right side up or upside down?

I'd store it right side up and put some padding under and around to protect it.

I store it vertical.... ....takes up less space that way.
The "open" end points up, the rear window down. I lay the rubber pads around so that the window and wiper are suspended and protected. I use a bungee cord to keep it secure against a wall.
Your biggest dangers are dropping the dang thing or stepping on it. It's just a big plastic tub with windows...

I store mine right side up and dont have any issues. I usually take a couple small peices of duct tape and tape the window closed, so it doesnt open on its own.

I ordered the storage cart but it had lots of parts to put together and didn't want to do that so we decided to move it to basement- we duct taped rear window and stored it vertical on top of some cardboard so window wouldn't scratch-i may go take a rug remanant and put it under rear window- we did hear a squeaky sound- hope we didn't mess up the wiper - anyway it seems secure- i assume if it's sitting vertical that sides won't warp-
