Twubble, (my wifes JK) was sideswiped as it sat parked on the street where she works. It was a nice Vietnamese man that was coming down the street. Someone pulled out of a parking lot in front of him and he had to swerve over to avoid them and unfortunately he sideswiped the drivers side and messed his little car up pretty bad. I wasn't real crazy about the running boards when I bought the JK but after seeing what they prevented I am glad they were there. No one was hurt and no body damage just the flares and the running board.

Make sure you get the alignment checked
