I'm having an electrical problem where the dash and cd player all instruments are losing power briefly and all warning lights flash then the service light come on and stayed on for a day. Power to motor wasn't affected and it kept running any ideas on fault finding this problem?????
Take it to a dealer if still under warranty. If not, take it by an AutoZone, Advance Auto, etc and have them pull the code since you said the service light came on.
Any problem with the headlights, turn signals, etc?
I'm pulling this totally outta my...back pocket , but it has the smell of a problem with your ECU, or the ECU ground wire perhaps being loose.
I'm an electrical moron, so hopefully someone else will jump in here and either affirm my newfound electronic brilliance, or completely expose my longstanding stupidity.
Chances are, however, that won't happen till tomorrow.

Could be ECU related for sure. Could also be a loose connection somewhere or a faulty ground. I'm curious whether a code was stored when the service light came on and what that code was for.
There was a thread (not mine) when I was getting ready to install my sPOD that had some posts about making sure that the ECU ground wire was properly connected after the install (sPOD mounts to the same location as the ground wire.)
The advice was from VIN.
I just can't find the thread in Advanced Search. I rarely forget...stuff. Pretty sure the symptoms he described in his post were very similar to what the OP is describing.
The intermittent power failure makes me think it is 99% a loose main connection somewhere. Either on the ECU, or the ACC fuse might have come lose and has intermittent contact.
These JK jeep have a very weird electrical system. Mine had similar problems when it had about 4K miles on it. I just took the negative battery cable off for about 30 minutes and it has been good for the last 12K miles. It is more in the ECM then the electrical system. Taking the battery cable off reflashes the ECM. And a bad battery can also cause these problems. If your jeep is over a year old just replace the battery. This will also reflash the ECM and it could cure all your ills. If you would state the year and miles on your jeep it would give us a little more insight on a possible fix.
I'd definitely try the Jeep <ctl><alt><del> first. Un hook your battery and touch the cables together to ground out the system and reset the computer (or you could leave it unhooked for 30 minutes as stated above, but I'm from NY so...) and see if the reset helps.
If that doesn't help, I'm thinking more TIPM (fuse box) related. There have been a rash of problems with the TIPM lately and I think they are still backordered nationwide.
This a '12? I had some funky things going on with mine a few weeks after I bought it...checked fuses and the j13 fuse was flopping around unseated...I'd check that first
Thanks for all ur advice it is an 07 model with 65000km on the clock just bought it it has a lot of aftermarket accessories like DVD player reverse camera dual batteries. Will get batteries tested ASAP all terminals are fine and Wil check all fuses and ECM earth and let u know how I go being an intermittent problem I might have to do a Kodak and let it devolp but don't fancy being stuck in the scrub
Dont do a Kodak, they are no longer developing anything since applying for Bankruptcy
Anyways, if you have a look in the footwells both sides there are a pile of black wires under bolts (earth leads). I would be checking these first since you mention there is a lot of aftermarket stuff fitted.
Oh, and not wanting to be called a tardy Aussie, Welcome Ruburuby
a 2007? It probably has the OE battery. I'd bet dollars to donuts that the battery is going.
