JK Service Manual

Has anyone out there picked up a Jeep Service Manual? I have an '08 Unlimited 4 Dr and the dealership gave me a phone number to call - Chrysler Motors Publications (800) 890-4038. An '08 service manual is $320.00 + $20 ship, or $120.00 for the CD. Calling the number, she directed me to www.techauthority.com select "tech authority on-line" from the side menu and for $20, you get 24 hr access to this manual, you can print, etc. Has anyone purchased the manual, CD or this on line service? What worked, what didn't?

I found the manuals to be expensive also. I will be trying out your link. Hopefully it will work well. The CD's are nice if you have the capability to print double sided documents in large quantities. Your Jeep buddies might even split the cost if you go the cd/print route.

When I had my Cherokee years ago I purchased a shop manual off of Ebay. Best $50 I ever spent. I did some research and found out that the cd versions were no where near the paper versions. That thing had absoulutely everything you could ever need in it. Trying to find a new one however is going to be very tough unless you go to the dealer.
