Northridge4x4 tomorrow for the real start to mods.

Northridge will be adding:

Rigid aux lights in front
Rigid Backup light
Headlight change out
Grade 8 Bolt kit
TeraFlex leveling kit

Yeah, it may not LOOK all that different, but I went for function as the first priority.

Once done there, I'll be ordering (prob from Quadratec) the :

Rampage Grille insert (yes, I want metal and a hard mount to stop rocks - not plastic, glue, and clips...)
Yakima Hard top roof rack (removable - so I can still go into parking garages without an issue...)
MOPAR slush mats
May or may not get the Oly or Mopar light bar - depends on how far out I think the front bumper is.

Tires will probably be next, complements of Discount tire's zero interest. Just need to decide on which option:
255/75 GY MT/R
275/70 BFG AT KO
285/70 BFG AT KO
285/70 GY DT
(I am the sick bastard that LIKES the stock 17s)

I cant seem to get over my paralysis by analysis on front bumper - ARB or the new Warn Elite. Warn is cheaper - but I prefer the 'laid back' bull bar and light mounts on the ARB, and lets face it, both look better with a winch I may never use...

Rear Bumper is decided - I'll be going with the LoD Gen III - but dollar wise that is out a ways.

So far I've only added the Bushwhacker hood and tailgate protector (which I cannot recommend due to the tailgate protector already coming loose from the adhesive.)

I will give updates as this develops.

Get tied on big boy..... it's only just begun

The warn is cheaper, but what gauge steel???

Check out the front bumper thingy here..... search for it. It's got tons of info. Weights, prices, etc....

Most of all... enjoy the ride :thumb:

Well, immediately made a liar of myself.

Went to Discounttire two hours after the initial post.

285/70/17 Duratracs, no spacers, no level, all stock. Does rub on extreme right or left turn - but have to be ALL the way over.

After Northridge:

Forward Lights:

Aft Light:

Switch Pod

Note that the lower switch is an oddball as it needed to be a three-way switch - the aft light is able to be used independently or automatically with reverse

Tire

Cut airdam do avoid contact:

All stays within stock fenders:

Hood and Tailgate protector:

Even a nice trash can:

Equipment:

285/70/17 Goodyear DuraTrac (NO spacers)
TeraFlex Leveling kit
Level 8 Bolt replacement
IPF H4 Headlights
3 Rigid Dually Aux lights - spots forward, diffuse aft
Rugged Ridge A-pillar switch pod
Bushwacker Hood and Tailgate protector

There is NO rubbing of the tires after cutting back the airdam.

Ride an stance is much improved - the tires provide a huge improvement on road - less following of ruts, less response to poor road conditions - it is a 'one finger' driver now - the wider tires keep a given track easier and are more responsive to directional input.

As of now, could not be happier with the way this all came together, with the exception of weak adhesive on the tailgate protector.

(Note - sideline pic was before the Leveling kit/Lights install - but it has not changed)

Anybody done a dual battery install on a 2012 yet?

All the brackets I find are either 07-11 or don't indicate rather 12 is actually included...

Next up:

Yakima Rack
Yakima 8001616 - YAKIMA Hard Top Roof Track Rack for 07-12 Jeep® Wrangler Unlimited JK 4 Door - Quadratec
I'll get the MegaWarrior basket later - but this will allow me to carry 4x8 and long dimensional lumber or other outsize items back from the local Lowes/Depot and such.
As I do drive into parking structures, I like that I can remove the risers, thus only have them installed when I need them.
I was hoping it would be here for install this weekend, but it looks like it won't be here until Tuesday.

Hood Decal (the one from Pixeldecals.com)
Thanks to this thread:
http://www.wranglerforum.com/f33/hood-decal-is-on-159648.html
No word on time for that delivery yet.

My theft of good ideas continues....

Without the rack to install, I may put on the Mopar front splash guards this weekend, but I haven't decided how to cut them yet. I intend to take some of the bottom to reduce the chance of them getting caught off road.

Yep - BDF on the Rear light mount.
Love it, well made, highly recommended. Once I add the LOD Gen II bumper (with its own lights), I'll probably add a second for the passenger side, and leave those completely independent of the backup lights (which I'll slave the LOD Bumper lights too...)

The forward light mounts are not - the BDF windshield mount didn't allow for slewing for side to side movement as well - but probably holds the light better in rough conditions.

I can turn night into day forward with the new IPF headlights and Rigid Duallys at the windshield, and the stock fogs still cover the low and near area with less candle power so they will still be effective in fog on the road.

Really happy with the look of the switch pod as well.

Thanks to the Wife for the Silver Sharpie idea.

This is a two person job, not because it is hard, but you simply need to be in two places at once sometimes.

With the help of the wife, I got mine done.

Here are another couple completed photos:

Hey ChiefDan,

This is the same system and set-up I'd like to put on my JK.
Mine is a 2 door. Any idea if it's still possible to put this setup on the 2door?

Thanks for any insight!:thumb:
