Default What did you pay? '07 - '10 Sahara

Were looking at buying '07 - '10 Sahara, V6, auto, power locks/windows, hard top, 4wd. The dealer pricing varies alot from dealer to dealer ... was wondering what others have recently paid for like vehicle. Shopping Seattle/puget sound area. Thanks.

Hey for the Saharas you guys purchased new, what was the sticker price? Did you also take advantage of any cash back deals that was running at the time?
Do you think the higher priced trims has more "room" to bargain as opposed to the lower priced Sports trim?

The dealer I visited had a few Sports model with the options that i want, with the only exception being the dual top. I don't want/need the soft-top. They were saying that I can just go and sell that on e-bay and fetch about $1k for it.. does this have any truth?

Also, when building out a new Jeep on the jeep.com, there is an option for metal half door, which is -$500. What gives? I thought the OEM half doors were around $2000, but if I include it in my new Jeep, it represents a "credit" of $500!? I don't get it..

Thanks!

You don't get both sets of doors. The set of half doors is $500 less than the set of full doors - hence the credit.

Ahh right.. makes sense.. I've been reading to many threads on the half doors, making them sound like some exotic item with artificially elevated price. Didn't occur to me that the standard full doors could cost even more..

FWIW, when we bought our 09, we got the tailend of the Employee pricing.
The sticker was in the neighborhood of 32K and with the incentive and tradein we were out the door, with a Sahara 4 door hardtop with all the bells and whistles for around 17, 500.
Hope this helps.

Yeah, Jeep's Half Doors may be a thing of the past, if they don't start producing some more at affordable prices. $2K & $3K are NOT affordable prices! I just spent $1K making a set from Bestop. That's not really reasonable either, but I ride with the Soft Top down most of the time, and prefer the Half Doors for more visibility. I like 'em! The cool thing about the Bestop's, is that I can remove the Outer Door Panels, and I'll have Tube Doors behind them.

If and when I ever run across a set of Factory Half-Doors at a decent price, then I'll buy 'em. Until then, these will do just fine!

Cheers!

What was your trade-in value? I mean that's a huge part of the equation..

I got a 2010 Sahara in deep water blue with dual tops and remote start, REQ radio with 6 CD/DVD changer for 30,000 without the rebate.

After all the trade in and taxes (NY), Tags etc...I was in for approx. 33000

New 2009 Sahara Dual Top 4 Door Auto.
Some bells and whistles.
No trade in.
Sticker $35,000.
Out the door $30,000.
Sold the soft top on ebay and got an additional $800.
So about $29,000 everything included (title, tax, etc.).
That included Employee Pricing Promo and some old fashion negotiation.
Woodstock Illinois. (About 60 miles west of Chicago)

Hahah when I drove my rental Wrangler unlimited X in California.. was totally caught off-guard when ppl in other Wranglers were waving at me.. Started laughing out loud after I started to wave back at them..

Took the Wrangler East bound on CA-120 towards Yosemite. Once I got to Don Pedro Reservoir, I pulled over at a scenic viewpoint and spent 10 minutes figuring out the freedom top removal. The Europeans with their rental Ford Escape was giving me the look.. the look of jealousy.. Even though I've never played with the freedom top before, I just pretended as if I did this every day.. LOL!

Then Drove the rest of the way into Yosemite Valley with both panels removed and driving thru mountain roads totally not paying attention but looking up and watching the big redwoods streaming by... Started yelling "Yeeeehhaaaa" while going down a stretch of straightaway where I could see snow capped mountains off into the distance.

Then arrived at Camp Curry just in-time for the showing of Ken Burns' National Parks mini-series.

Alright that's it! Just reminiscing those days with the Wrangler has sold me! I'm gonna buy a Wrangler! But can I have as much fun with it in Chicago (arm-pit of America) as I did in California?

See I'm not interested in climbing boulders.. are there any Wrangler owners like me? Perhaps it's a generalization, but it seems every/majority of Wrangler owner wants to climb boulders..

Ywen... I, too, am trapped in urban/suburban hell. Not a trail for miles. I love the Jeep. It has proven to be a fun weekender with the kids sports. And a nice stress reliever on a warm summer's day.
IIRC, Chicago gets a bit of snow, yes? That should be a lot of fun.
And you'll likely never get a door ding again.

Previous promo this spring.
Knocked 2-3 grand off.
Also got 3 year 0 finance.
I think you can get 5 or 6 year zero finance now.
Not a bad deal
