I run mine near max pressure, It's a Jeep, it doesn't handle that well anyway and I prefer to get the best gas mileage possible.
Some will say by doing that my tires will wear faster in the middle, but they have not so far.

Yep and expert studies have shown that if people kept their tires properly inflated it would reduce fuel usage by about 3%.. and if they kept their cars in proper tune it would save another 3%. All of this would be right now.

Of course McCain is laughing and making fun of this energy plan because he supports extra off shore drilling which is estimated to create 2% more oil after about 2 years. What a joker!!

I agree that properly inflated tires do, in fact, increase efficiency. But, everyone who is willing to maintain proper pressures are already doing it. So, unless proper tire pressures are going to be somehow enforced for ALL vehicles by some newly created federal agency, nationwide efficiency does not increase at all.

I also agree with you that drilling is not the final answer, eventhough I don't agree with your numbers. We need a VIABLE alternative to middle eastern dependency while we promote accelerated technology development and deployment across all of our energy sources.

Those numbers are what McCain and his people were saying.

We NEED to start converting to hydrogen, and start building hydrogen stations.
