Thank you for the sympathy...lol As much as I enjoy working on it, its a lot more fun when its running...

Ive noticed that all the pipes on the header get hot at basically the same pace so Im leaning towards fuel mixture. Im gonna double check distributor installation tomorrow to make sure its not retarded by a tooth. I think the brain will shut down spark if its off by more than 3 degrees and Im guessing a tooth would be more than 3 degrees.

If its not retarded, Im planning to buy a new multimeter Monday and see if I can test the 02 and MAP sensors. I cant find any vac problems. Gotta figure out this dang fuel mixture problem before I drop a good engine in it or even pull this one..

On another note, I might be adding a 47 Willys to the herd... If I get it, it will get cleaned up, primed and stuck in the barn till the YJ is done.

I wish I had a barn for my 47 Willys to live in in till my YJ is done. Mine is covered with a tarp under a pine tree.

Hahaha at least you have one. Mine is still a dream but I think the guy is gonna trade me a rifle for it.. Its a project for sure... Not planning a purist restoration. It will be a tribute to my Dad who was born in 47. I think about 400 hp would make him proud. Heres a link to what Im looking at

I think 400hp would do him justice. That one is a lot further along that mine. I have a rusty tub, a hood, and a few fenders. I am thinking Cummins 4bt for mine, but it is a bit of a pipe dream at the moment. Like you, gotta get the Wrangler done first.

I fell asleep last night reading through your build thread. I'm on like page 4 now. Looks SWEET man. Mines not going to be that cool or involved. Just SOA and eventually a little stretch is my plan. You will probably have like 3 times as much flex haha.

The cummins would be cool in any jeep especially an older one. A diesel really would be a perfect engine for a jeep with all the torque at low rpm. My ford with the 7.3 and 5 speed will take off on a hill with a 13,000 pound trailer load at idle hahaha.
