Looks like you have a lot of great things going on! I am slowly looking for a 5.3 or 6.0 donor vehicle for my next mods.
Originally I had a 5.3 or Vortec 5.7L in mind, decided to go with the 5.2L Dodge as its OEM behind both he AX15 and NV3550 (and I have both, lol).
This saves on the cost of adapters, and saves me from having to use that LONG GM NV3500, and I definitely want to stick with a 5 speed.
On a side note, I will soon have a 94 Suburban drivetrain sitting in my garage, motor is bad so im leaving that alone, but striping out the 700, NP and entire TBI system.
Bought the Suburban for $400, stole the rear end for a 96 Tahoe flip (and other misc parts) and when im done gutting the Suburban, Pick and Pull can have the empty shell.
One cut up Suburban gas tank skid plate, 2 Rotopax can mounts with same key, one Rotopax spare mount and 2, 3 gallon Rotopax fuel jugs, fits nice, a little bit of clearancing and it will be trail ready!

Watched my oil pressure peg, Then it had a seizure, then drop to ZERO on the way home yesterday.
Thank god it was just a sensor....
During the repair I realized, my little 2.5L is a MESS! I might go give it a full cleaning.
At some point in the last 3 years my valve cover started leaking a little at the front above this sensor too.
I wsnt planing on doing much to it as a 5.2L is in my future, but since I keep pushing back my conversion, I do need this 2.5L to survive....
