When I picked up this jeep a year and a few months ago I put in a new rad so I would have no problems Went out to some trails today and lost all my coolant. Part only has a 90 day warranty so off to buy another.

More problems. Can you see what's missing? Why so many problems right after another just does not seem to stop!

The freeze plug just fell out? You must have built up some serious pressure.

I don't know much about motors but could the PCV valve effect the water pressure?
I am thinking that is two different areas of the motor?
not sure just asking

That's a good point, you are correct that it would be separate than the PCV system

Mine is missing too...just found it out today. I'm not sure how long it been this way but I'm not leaking any coolant...I'm obviously a novice but isn't this plug necessary? (Showing my complete lack of knowledge).

Definitely going to be following your thread from here on. I have a 89' Islander and I have to agree with you about the decals, not really my style. Your Jeep looks amazing though hopefully in time "Daisy II" will look that way also. Keep up the good work. Thanks for the advice on the Carb and HEI.

Your Jeep Looks great!

I just finished my 87 YJ but I went a little further and yanked the 4 cylinder out and replaced it with 71 318 V8 hooked up to a NV3550 trans. I did a lot of custom work to the interior custom dash rear speakers and center console. 4 inch lift (rough country I like it too) 33/12.5 MT's

I just read your entire build thread, I also have a 89 Islander that is Pacific Blue. I have done a few things to mine so far but not as much as I would have liked to do. (Building 2 Jeeps at the same time is expensive) So far I have Added TJ Rubicon Flares, Flush mount LED tails, Led Gauge lights, Lots of maintenance , TJ Grizzly wheels . I hope to lift mine sometime this year (SOA on 35's)I am considering on ditching my stripes also If I decide I want them I'll order a new set.
