Is there a write up on the fuel pump relocation bit? That sounds like I need to do that. What did you use for a new pump? My pick up tube is busted off. Half tank is empty with 6 gallons of unavailable fuel right now.

Bolth fenders are on. Power steering is all hooked up. Put in a nother trnny cooler all tranny lines are hooked up. All the V belt system is hooked up. electric fan is mounted, Diff lube is in the 8.8 and the d30, Tranny has fluid, transfer-case has been changed, Adjusted my idle.. Cant remember what else I did today. Just alot of small stuff.

Ok so I need a big area for switches and stuff so I ripped off my dash today and am going to make a compleat custom set up.

Might be a little slow on my build for a couple days.. I was standing on plastic stool and the dang thing broke and my foot got stuck in it and ripped it up a little bit and twisted my ankle. might be heading to get some stitches and stuff now.

Good job! On the Jeep anyway, not so much on the foot, lol.

I see you are using a Quadrajet carburetor. As far as the high idle, recheck all of your vacuum lines & choke/choke linkage. Is it an electronic choke or does it have a inlet for a heat tube?

I do hope you didn't start it up much without fluid in the transmission, the pumps in those transmissions can burn up quickly when run without fluid in them.

Got the idle all good. The th350 got a bran new pump when the shop rebuilt it. My guy started it up a few times at the shop without oil in the tranny but I think the pump is fine because it pumped oil out into the coolers the other day when I was getting everything all hooked up. ;D that transmission took 11 quarts of fluid and I still don't see anything on the dipstick. It was completely dry. I have two transmission coolers on it also so that may be why. Is it a good idea to have a temp gauge on d transmission? Or will it be fine?

Ok so I have been wanting some more room for switches lately soo.. I started on this little project to. I ripped apart my dash. And kept my defroster and started building a new dash around the plastic defroster. I've been working on it all today and part of yesterday. it's really slow and pissing me off! And it sucks cutting everything with a cutoff wheel on a grinder. It's... very very hard to cut perfectly straight for 45 inches AHHH!!

Heres after I got the two side supports done and mounted up. Then made a Tube so It wouldn't be a sharp metal edge.

Cut a peace of metal for the face of the upper dash to finish it off. I'm going to mount the switches on that

Had to cut a section of the face of the metal to fit around the winsheild wiper

the box in the center of the dash face is were Im going to be mounting the switches. The face is removable so I can easly add more if needed

Heres the lower part of the dash I just did it this style Just plain and i may add a grab bar later on

Primed

heres the faceplate were the gauges will be

Personally, I would add a tranny temp gauge. Good to hear on your transmission then, you should be fine.

LOVE the custom dashboard work

I used a bunch or random parts! but.. Used The M.O.R.E weld on spring plates, Shock mounts, U bolts, And 8.8 to np231 adaptor.. I bought the kit for the 8.8 spring over from them for i think maybe 150?? That included the bigger Ubolts, weld on leaf mounts, And the plates, They also allow you to stretch it 1" in either direction. For the front I also used MORE weld on mounts and shock mounts. I used my existing Spring plates. I defiantly recommend getting the stuff from more. I Never could of used the stock mounts I cut off. It made it easier.
