Im not a patent person. Evry night i have to resist from ordering parts! Tonight i Compromised a lil. Here's my shopping list that is on my way to my house now..

Driver Door seal (ripped while Painting-Needed to be replaced)

Outer Glass scrubbers for both doors. These were vry cracked/falling off! doubt they have ever been replaced.

Tail gate seal (Ripped while Taking off for paint)

Smitty Built Mirrors-Stock mirrors had much buildup and glass was cracked.

New hood hardware kit-Black

Air vent scoop-Herd these help your heater out. Winter is a coming!

Armadillo Mechanical Door stops-These things are sweet!

New Black tailgate Hinges-Mine were very rusted/bent

My jeep is not a mall crawler.. I want it to look good! but not afraid to off road it.. scratch it up and dent thing's. It's a jeep! i just hate the look of rust.

Yep. Me and my buddy did it in my dads shop. He did it mainly.. But it just involved alot of prep work. Lots of sanding.. wire wheeling rust. Taking all the seals off. He's the painter not I. So i am not sure What his method is but.. He used his Spray Gun and my air compressor. We did a single stage paint also, and have tons of it so if i scratch my baby or roll it.. i have a ton of extra paint

Got back from Being in NY for the last 3 months today.. To find some parts i had ordered waiting for me.. Spent a day at the shop to fix my baby up. Here is what i did.

First thing was.. it was draining gas when i started her up So a quick drop of the gas tank showed a ruber line had rotted and split. Cut it and replaced it.

Next up is some armadillo mechanical Door stops. These were extremely easy to put on. took maybe.. 10 mins each door. These are cool because they have a setting were the door can be held open but are still a quick disconnect when you want to remove the door

Orderd Some new body mounts today becuse half of mine are rotten and falling off! One thing that has been bugging me tho is that when you look at the back end of the jeep.. The left side(drivers) Is higher then the right (passengers) You can see from the pick above that the body is pretty much tight to the frame maybe 1/2 inch space. The passenger side there is a inch gap and the bosy isent even resting on the spacer... Im thinking the frame could be tweaked?? Any one else have problems like this?

Not sure on the frame question, I'll have a look at mine & see what I come up with.

Great job on the Jeep project, it's really coming along. I love the custom front fenders you did especially. Your project looks similar to mine in a way, as I like to make things my own as well.

Again, Great Job!!! Thanks for sharing

Thanks for the comment Toolman. always nice to see someone is actually looking at my thread. ;P. After a week of driving My rig with the new tire carrier and spare I decided it was bouncing around to much! i can wiggle it by hand and after i inpected the rear part of the frame I saw that the entire Area Behind were the shakel mounts to the frame is pretty much rotting away! (i'll upload a pic).. Not sure what im going to do.. I was thinking about welding a plate in for some strength. But may just cut that part off and re weld some replacement steal in.. I'll post some pics tomorrow when i decide what to do.

Check out Quadratec & Morris Jeeps website. They actually have pieces you can weld right into place to fix that. Might make things go alot quicker

In this pic you can see the part i already cut out.. It really wasent much left anyways just was tapping it out with my hammer.. I did a cleaner Job after this pic and ended up cutting the rest of the crossmember out to the right of the frame.

Another frame pic. Also.. You can see how far the body is from the mounts. The other side the mounts and body are touching each other. And after messing with that mount for a sec it just fell off.. and it looked like a snapped off bolt. Would it of snapped off in the body? Is that going to be a BI**H to get out?

Wow, talk being in need of some welding. I've never had to fix an issue like that so I'm not sure, but I would highly recommend either getting the pieces out of a wrecking yard or ordering the weld-in pieces from Morris 4x4 or Quadratec. I've seen a lot of people go that route & are happy with the end result. But that's just my opinion, hope it helps.

The guy cut one of the shock mounts off so.. Is there a website were i can get new shock/spring perches? what will I all need? things i know are.. Extensions on my brake lines.. drop pitman.. It already has a 1" t case drop on it. My next question is.. I need 4/10's in my front D30.. What all do i need to do this? there a website that anyone recommends?
