95 Jurassic Park Conversion

Hey folks.I purchased my first Jeep last July with the idea I'd turn it into a Jurassic Park movie replica. It came with a few extras that I dont need and that wont fit my movie theme, so I wanted to offer them to the community here. Problem is I need 15 posts before I can do so. So instead of adding uselessness to the forum, I decided to start a thread about my Jeep.

subscribed, you don't have to make an exact replica, modify it a little...bigger tires....

Lift and tires are of little concern just match the paint scheme and orange rims and it will be very definable. I love the idea (although I'm not a bold enough person to pull it off myself). I absolutely love unique jeeps. That would definitely be a head-turner!

Looks exciting! I'm happy to see another JP Jeep in progress on the boards. Make sure you check out jurassicparkjeep.com for graphics, canon items, painting help etc. The biggest unicorn items right now are the Sahara seats, correct Ramsey winch, Mopar OEM lightbar and the Sahara fogs (though there are substitutes). Feel free to look at my build thread and PM me with any questions!

Rims are actually supposed to be red. ive purchased the paint for the jeeps base color and the red accents.

im on JPJ too not sure what accessories im going to do. not all the jeeps had winches and i already have lights. unfortunately the lights i have are the lights that go on the explorer. they are too large to relocate to the correct location, but since i have gotten into off-roading, the stock lights wont be enough. i need Nedrys light bar, but then i can make it into the garage...

my biggest concern when it comes to getting things right is the sidesteps. I dont have them, they are hard to come by, and those that i have found dont actually have the rubber step section.

I actually have a pair I'd sell to you. They have a coat of bedliner on them, though. But I'm sure you could get it off with some paint stripper or sanding.. Lol

Problems problems problems...

Power Steering Pump ate itself which led me to realize that the heat exchanger is aftermarket since the new stock hoses wont fit. meanwhile I've found a host of other issues

Water Pump (Leaking)
Misc Hoses (Some hard, some soft)
Weld Leaf Spring Shackle (ripped off frame)
Shocks (old and dead)
Transmission Fluid & Flush (old & black)
Differential Fluid & Flush (old & black)
Thermostat, Housing, & Hose (leaking)
Spark Plugs & Wires (old and worn)
Air Filter (old & worn)
Transmission/Transfer Case Seal (leaking)

On the plus side, I might get those side steps from Hutchings!

Alright, So the power steering pump and water pump have been replaced along with the hoses.

The leaf spring shackle should be re-welded later this week.

Thanks!

If its the one i'm thinking of, it sold on eBay for $12.5k and had a large number of inaccuracies. not that mine with a 4" lift and 33" tires with a number not seen on camera and over-sized fogs where the winch is supposed to be is any more accurate. lol.
