Nice Jeep man! I noticed you have a sound bar and I'm wondering is it any good? I'm on the fence about getting one but can't hear music that good in my Jeep with no doors and sometimes topless.

Love this jeep! I'm amazed at the outcome after such a small investment. That just proves that if you have the tools and know-how, you can do just about anything

Love this build. One of my favorites to see updates on. So simple, clean, and all home brewed. There is something to be said for low-buck, and SMART builds. Good work dude!

Have you broken anything on the trail yet in the current setup?

Just got back from the rubicon.

Apparently I had broken my tranny mount before I left at an earlier trip. So I put 40miles of rubicon on a broken mount haha.

Last night I semi candy cane'd my front driveshaft but was able to get back. Sheared a centwring pin in the rear drivers spring. Used a 1/4 craftsman extension as a pin and kept wheelin.

Awesome trip. I even made it up soup bowl

Loving the videos. Can't wait tell I can add more mods onto my Jeep. Maybe one day I can handle the Rubicon.

Rubicon is brutal, I rolled my old 93 xj on it. I know my wrangler is no where near ready enough.....

Was bored today so I made some rear corner armor. Tomorrow I am going to the shop to bend up some tube. It is going to follow the outside edge of the armor. The tube will follow the bends towards the front of the fender to match my front fenders.

Thanks!

Well I dont really have much time... I just make the time that I do have count. I usually zone off at work thinking about what i am going to do and building the idea in my head, then as soon as the time is avaliable I already know what its gonna look like.

Tubes turned out sharp, Norcal.

Just noticed you don't have a winch... Y'know, that's all you need then you'd be ready to REALLY start wheel'n that thing... HA!!!

Tubes look great. I am gonna do the same with mine only in square tube as that would match my front fenders and sliders. Great work though!

Haha I know right? I could stop being a poser and hit some real trails.

On a serious note last trip I finally got in a spot that a winch was needed. Usually my hi lift and creative stacking gets me out of those situations... but a winch would have gave me the edge I needed and get me were I wanted to go instead of having to back into a bad spot and almost flop.

But out of all the wheeling this was the first of those situations

What front springs are you running? I notice your shackle has a good angle to it which will allow it to unfold and allow more articulation.

Stock yj rear springs with an added main leaf. Front shackle hangar was moved back a touch for better angle

The pic of us all standing around my jeep is were the magic happened. That big rock in the middle of the picture was right in front of my diff and was holding it back. My rear tires were on the downward slope of those other boulders.

While i was trying to pop up over it I looked down and my front shaft did a bend/twist. Tryed one more time to get out and a loud bang and the rear U joint let go. It was a POS precision joint. When it let go it took out the slip yoke on the rear driveshaft.

Buddy hooked me to the winch and yanked me over the rocks. We had to hi lift it up and stack some rocks under my front tires because i was wedged so bad. I kept it in front wheel drive and limped back to camp and called the tow truck.

It was just a really bad spot.
