preciate it. this thing will rarely see pavement so I'm not concerned with it. Even if I was pulled over, there's more than just that they could write a citation for but the local cops are mostly "good ol boys" and don't give you problems about your 4x4s

I like everything you have done with it, I've looked into those red leds for my dash lights in my 88 will those that you ordered fit into an 88 or do you think they were different through out the different years, I know the gauge face changed but didn't know if the lights did or not, but keep up the good work like to see what else you do to it

Thanks man, I appreciate it. I'm not 100% sure, but the lights are probably the same 194 wedge style bulbs.

Thanks, I got the flush mount LEDs for super cheap through Amazon and I absolutely love them. And yeah I'm all about being unique.. It seems like everyone around me has a red jeep with black accents so that's why I'm going with such a drastic change haha. I've haven't seen a black jeep with bright orange wheels yet

neither have I, I also have a red jeep but I'm doing a mixture of the black and chrome everybody either does one or the other so I'm just mixing it up a little only thing that makes mine different is the decals running down the side but doing a little at a time, the black and orange in my opinion would look really cool, I've never seen a setup like it, other than the leds are you doing anymore interior mods?

I plan on doing a full roll cage and new seats with 5 point harnesses and maybe a small sound system to run off my ipod. And I'll probably be pulling out the under dash A/C unit and using the compressor to make an OBA system. All future plans though.. It's time consuming and expensive. So I buy parts as I can and sell any old parts that I can make some money off of to try to offset the costs a little. I rarely get to work on it right now. My son is 4 months old and I work full time, so I just do a little at a time. I'm in no hurry though, this is just a weekend toy that I don't plan on getting rid of.

sounds like alot of cool upgrades certainly will be worth it for safety and looks as well completely understandable with your son in all too with just doing a little at a time

Last night I trimmed the front piece and the fenders off my jeep like yours. Have to say looks way better now than the stock look. Will get some pics later ran out of daylight

Started pulling the interior, cage, and exterior accessories to prep for the monstaliner. It's going to be a long tedious process since I have to strip whatever crap the PO put down on the inside of the tub... lucky me..

BTW I'm selling the factory family style cage and I've got an ad in the for sale section.

Found a guy selling a pretty rad YJ on another forum for dirt cheap without axles. I got to talking with him and got him to sell me the cage out of it. I'm going to remove the spare tire holder over the rear seat area, so my son can ride along. I need to tie it into the frame still, but I'm stoked about it. It's been a top priority since I got this thing a couple years ago, I just hadn't found the right deal and I don't trust my welding enough for something this important.. At least not yet. I'm getting better

Anyways here's some shots of it. I dropped it in to test fit and ended up removing the dash pad. Now I'm more motivated to build an entire new dash.

Thanks man. I wish I had the room and time to buy his entire jeep. It would've only been $500 more and it had a running v8 and atlas transfer case, stretched to 108". All it needed was axles and coils. Oh well someone will snatch it up quick at that price.

Finally made a little more progress on the teardown. I only get about an hour here and there to get any work done since I work 10 hour days and have an 8 month old son and all the typical house/yard work too.

I also finally got to start putting my beadlocks together. It took me forever to get my old black wheels taken off. My buddy with the tire shop has been crazy busy. So far I've got two of them completely together and mounted up.

And just a little sexy pic I took of one of them

Those rims are sick!! I actually was looking at the green ones when I was planning out my jeep but went with lighter shade of green.

Thanks to both of you. I'm pretty happy with the rims but the paint on them isn't the best. Oh well they were half the price of most beadlocks and they'll be abused..

Since I've got the fenders off I'm putting on my Brown Dog 1" MML that I've had for a couple of months. I'd say it was definitely time haha. I sanded the mounts and painted them matte black so it looks better with the black/orange theme.

Sorry I never realized you posted this so I'm just seeing it.. Are you asking where I got the bulbs, or do your have good bulbs and just not lighting up? If they just aren't lighting up, it could very well be a fuse since it sounds like they're all out..

If you need to know where to get bulbs or which to get then:

Amazon.com: jtech 194 led

Sorry again, I'm not too active on here. Been super busy between work and my 9 month old son.

Since I'm finally getting back on here, might as well post a little update.. As mentioned above and previously, I have a now 9 month old and work full time and usually work extra hours as well. Unfortunately I only get a couple hours a week (if that) to do any work on the heep.. Well I've pulled the entire dash and A/C out and I've been tackling the rats nest of wiring hell left by the PO. (when I bought the jeep, I did just throw in the viper alarm, knowing I'd eventually clean up the dash wiring) I had already fixed the rats nest behind the radio, but this was a complete mess. I'll eventually build a custom dash, but who knows when I'll actually have the time to do that. Ok enough novel writing.. here's some pics..

Dash pad off (and after I removed the A/C) Sorry for the potato phone pic

Dropping the under dash A/C (Since I'll be using the compressor for OBA)

thin metal dash removed.. enter the rat nest

another shot of the rats nest

random cut wires left in the dash. I've found both speaker wire and RCAs cut back here.. lovely haha

some progress at removing the rats nest

getting the wiring sorted (and this one is after throwing some rattle can black on the inside of the firewall)

Ran the ECM through the old drain hole from the cabin air intake that I won't be using anymore. (more on that in the future).. I'll be mounting the ECM under the dash so it's out of the elements.. And once I have more progress and more of a final plan, I'm going to fill the hole so the loomed wires won't just be against the hole and so the hole won't just be... well.. a gaping hole haha

After removing the A/C lines that run through the firewall, you're left with another gaping hole. I won't be running anything through that hole (that I know of), so I'm making a little block off plate out of ABS plastic and will put a bead of silicone around it before mounting to the firewall..

While I've got the fenders and everything out of the way, I'm finally going to do a few other things that I've been collecting parts for..
703 injectors, new water pump, finally going to put on my new exhaust setup, and a few other little things.

Old factory injectors

In the process of rebuilding the Bosch 703s

Factory on the left, fresh rebuilt 4 hole 703 on the right

19 year old vs new water pump.. haha

Switched out the factory style alternator in favor of a Durango 136 amp alt that I picked up for $30. Direct swap, minus the black plastic surround on the back, which is easily swapped out for the stock one in under a minute.
