I was checking out the Raptor liner. I was thinking of coating the floor with POR-15 after wire wheeling the surface rust I have in my tub. Then doing the liner. What do you think.

i am not sure about adhesion over the por 15, i do know that you can grind/wire wheel the rust then use a 2 part etch primer and raptor over it.

Mcseang, can you explain what you did to your dash? Is it something doable for the average or my case the below average Joe? Would love to go from spice to black if there was a better way then just straight rattle can, then I would like to do it.

all i did was remove the dash and all attached components, then all the parts that i wanted to dye black i scrubbed each part with comet or ajax using a red scotch brite scuff pad. pay special attention to all nooks and crannies. just make sure everything is scuffed very well with the comet and scotchbrite pad, use the water hose while you are doing this all the while. rise well and let dry thoroughly, blow off with compressed air and wipe down with a pre paint cleaner and tack cloth. finally apply a few coats of krylon fusion satin black. krylon fusion is available at any walmart for a few dollars a can, with a little effort and confidence you can do this and make a huge improvement to the look of your jeep. just remember prep is key, and realize that if it my build or anybody else, we are just regular people with passion. you can do the same as anyone else so dont sell your self short

ok , so i just spent about another grand on the spare tire carrier/bumper and matching spare wheel and tire. i got the carrier from robert at dirt worx, i am pleased with the quality but it did take about eight weeks for him to ship it to me. i will take a few pictures within the next day or so of how it looks

Nice Job mcseang - any update on the pics of the carrier/bumper.

Also, what's the tire/rim size and any issue to report with the Duratracs?

Thanks in advance

Great job on your YJ! I'm in the middle of a full frame-off rebuild on my '89 (with a CJ nose), and you may have convinced me what color to paint mine! I have a good friend that lives in Wesley Chapel, I'll let him know to keep an eye out for your great looking Jeep!

I was just in Wesley Chapel this morning, right off 52. I'll keep an eye out for it as well.

I have the same fenders on my '93, with what appears to be the same lift and offset, but your tires are out farther (wider stance) than mine. I love that look. Can you tell me what size tires those are? Do you have spacers behind them? Beautiful Jeep, btw,

thanks for the interest, you have a good eye with regard to the 2" wheel spacers. tire size is 33x12.50x15

mcseang, you don't mention any changes in gearing or axles. Do you have any problem with wheel bearings or axles with the 33x12.5's and wheel spacers?
