Dropping transfer case?

If I put on a 2 inch body lift what are the odds of me having to drop the transfer case?

no need to drop it with a body lift, only issue is the shifter may hit the console in 4 low

Never had a jeep before so all this is new to me, is there any problems I might run into with the body lift or is it a pretty easy process
