I work at a muffler shop and we bend are own pipe. I am going to use 1 1/2 inch pipe. It is just so my wife doesn't feel like she is going to fall out with no doors on.

This weekend I only did one addition to the YJ and then took it out for a shake down ride with the family. I almost broke 100 miles on it..

Mounted my maglight to the hardtop

I learned one thing, there isnt much room back there for two car seat...

I work at the perfect place to make them. I have a pipe bender there. I just need my jeep back from the shop so I can start.

I don't know about how they'd work with a hard top, but I have modified TJ upper half doors on mine. Here's a link with how to do it.
how to install TJ uppers on 1/2 doors w/ hard top - JeepForum.com

I needed round uppers to go with my Softopper frameless top.

I just bought a set of soft uppers with glass windows and they are curved to fit the hard top or a best top soft top, let's see how they fit

I also bought a pair of rear boomerang shackles 5/8 longer than stock

I almost pulled the trigger on a kargo master Congo rack 52 x 50 with both hard top and sport bar mounts. But I need to find out the height and see if it will clear the garage

Well windows arrived but I m going to have to pull the front roll cage so I can bring the windshield back about a half an inch to get them to fit proper then reinstall the roll cage. .. This will be a fun weeked.

I also found a used conferr roof rack 4x5 on craigslist for $250 so I picked it up.. Conferr is no longer in business, what a shame, I have their shakles on the rear...(soon to be boomerang for M.O.R.E)

Picks coming soon!

Cool that is one thing I like about building things myself, I don't go under. I can't wait to get the frame back for my wife's jeep. I had to bring it to a friend to get it modified. The tj frame has got a bigger rear axel hump. And I need a frame jig which I don't have to make it wright. I hope everything works out for you with the glass instal. Looks like you are going to have some fun.

This is a freaking sweet jeep! My mouth dropped at the wreck and also the rebuild!

You are definitely a master of your craft sir. Wish I could let you get a hold of my YJ and beast it out like you've done the build.

Awesome work! Thumbs up and hats off to you

Thank you and there is more to come...my goal was to build the strongest , reliable , trail and street worthy Jeep moded for strength, durability, reliability and would last for years to come. But one capable of conquering most trails with good lines and driver skill. Also one that I trusted mechanically while exploring the vast desert trails here out west...

I may drag and scrape on some areas but my driveline is stronger than most jeeps I ride with and they will break before I do.. It's a crawler sleeper but street worthy.

Nothing too fancy with trick suspension, engine swaps and creation of problems.

The engine shop asked why I wanted a ported, polished, balanced 4.0... My answer was they last 200 k stock and a well built balanced engine will hopefully give me another 100k or more.

That's why I am putting a 5.2L 318 in my frankinstine jeep. It is one of the moor reliable motors out there. Also gets good fuel mileage.

Met with my painter today D&N Auto Las Vegas they shot my last one. I will be finishing up a few more minor mods and it will be off to paint in a month otr so, good old DuPont emron heavy equipment paint. I already had him shoot the roll cage and windshield prior to install now for the rest. After paint off to line x for some needed protection.

How much will the paint job end up costing you

Shooting it, welding in the tailgate holes from the factory tire carrier, holes in the hood from tie down loops, fill in between the added front and rear fenders and some dent removal, the estimate is less than a grand. Plus he already shot my roll cage and windshield prior to installation. Makes it much easier if you know the color before it it reassembled.

He does excellent work as seen in the picture at the start of the thread of my other jeep.

Good thing the top and full doors weren't on it when it was rolled...

So this is the picture and description from the ad that I purchased the skid plates from...

Link from where it was purchased...

Warrior Products Rear U-Bolt Skid Plates (Pair) - WAR1750

Uh the product I received is not the product they described...

Now Im being told they do not make them and they can send me the nut and stud and i can weld the nut to the skid plate myself.... More to come, I have a message to call Warrior Products on Monday.

Found a Conferr roof rack on Craigs List for $200.... May have to pull the trigger on it, could always use a little extra storage....

I have been looking at the Kargo a master since they make roll bar mounts and hard top mounts. It would be nice to be able to transfer it from the hard top to the roll bar.

But I'm sure I can fab up a system for the Conferr

Also just got in a Rugged Ridge steering box guard, installation this week.

Sir, what an incredible build.
And with you sons no less. What a great time you all must have had.
Accident and all, and well documented and you must be a super gear head.

I see so much I would like to do when my jeep grows up.
Thank you for sharing.

Thank you! It was the boys idea to build another considering the jeep, since I had thrown in the towel after my original was destroyed and I has had it 16 years. They never knew life without it .

So we agreed, found a donor, stripped as many parts from the wrecked one and started. The idea was to do a quick parts exchanged and get it on the road... Well one thing led to another a we did a complete frame up.

It is a new 2013, 1995 Jeep Wrangler.
