The flooring went in very easy, just make sure you measure three times and cut once. This is how far i got last night on the install, I still need to finish the end and also mount it securly with fasteners.

We brought it out to the very edge of the roof rack.

Notched it for the rails suuports

Rounded the corners..

Used a torch to make it relax on the sides, our cut was a very tight fit..

The finished product and light install coming soon.

Where the wheels on your original Wrangler 16's or 17's Moab? Do you remember the tire size?

They were 16's and came off a 2006 Rubicon. I am pretty sure they were 33's or the metric equivalent.

Jeep YJ Old Man Emu 2.5" Lift

The wife and I had date day today and she wanted to hit the trails with the Jeep...

Old Man EMU 2.5" Lift 33" tires

This is the first time Ive had the Jeep out on the trails since the build and one that need 4x4...The old Jeep usually runs most trails in 2WD or 2WD low with the front axles disengaged.

This is a pass that goes from Las Vegas through Red Rock Canyon...I didnt get many pictures of the good stuff...because when we got to the hardest part I had to take harder lines and go around some Mall Rubicons that were airing down and taking very poor lines...The guy asked me what I aired down to and I smiled and said 28 psi...

I didnt even disconnect the sway bar or lossen then telescoping track bar..

This elderly man got swtiched up on the trail, when we got here some guys with 4wheelers were trying to get him out. He had been there for several hours, had diabities and had fallen and cut his arm. I went down and manuvered his truck out for him and got him truned around.

We ended our date with some good ol southern style food...The thing I miss the most about Georgia where I was born and raised is the food...and my momma of course.

Thank you and he was very fortunate...the jeep was replaced, life is irreplaceable. I didn't even raise my voice, mistakes happen. Plus this build is everything the other one wasn't. I should thank him...

Well Folks Im getting closer to finishing the Old Jeep, this weekend I fitted the hard top doors, installed the roof rack and lights.

Baja Design Onx give forward light, the Stealth give 45 degree light & the Rigids give side lighting...

The Baja Design Stealth Bars are a little stealth mounted under the cargo rack..

The Stealth Combo in the front & the Rigid Flood on the side

Baja Designs Stealth Bar!

Side Rigid (this is a Dually the other side is a D2 and I have a D2 coming in to replace this Dually)

Mounted a Ram Mount for my GPS!

Today was my 5th tank of gas, I'm averaging 13.5 mpg, which I do not consider all that bad considering all the weight I have added to the Jeep and the engine is still in its break in period.

Oh and premium gas.

Today I spoke with the reps at OME today and let them know all the extra weight I added to the jeep and they are sending me an extra leaf for each leaf pack... $28 each so not too bad.

Placed an order this evening for a Cobra 29 Ltd Classic, I figured it was time to get rid of the radio shack CB for something that can be performance upgraded and tuned.

I do love your build. The YJ just looks to beastly and proper. Great choices on your mods and attention to detail.

Thank you, after being a proud wrangler owner for 22 years, I was finally able (well not by my choice) to build one the way I always wanted. The key was durable, reliable, expedition worthy and something that would go just about any where.... I was less worried about crazy flex and more interested in a rock solid build...great protection, solid axles and drivetrain, and able to go just about anywhere that I can get even if it consist of a winch, ingenuity, it's a Jeep build for the camel trophy...

Dupont Imron Commercial Paint

Time to start stipping her down and get it ready for paint...I will have her down at D & N Auto Las vegas next week for the new paint. With this build I will also be using Dupont Imron commecial paint. I will be using a satin mohawk gray (same color as my cage and windshield)

Imron® Polyurethane Enamels | DuPont Performance Coatings

For decades, DuPont™ Imron® polyurethane enamel has been the finish of choice by leading heavy-duty truck, commercial vehicle, aircraft, boat, industrial application and specialty vehicle manufacturers. It’s no wonder asset owners and refinishers rely on it for peak performance over the long haul.

MAXSA Sand Buddy

New windshield installed yesterday.....and a few parts started coming off to get ready for paint...

Also placed an order for a set of MAXSA Sand Buddy's which I have seen used in sand and mud...Great addition for sand if you have no area to hook the winch.. (oh you can find them for $125 a set)

Escaper Buddy

Just arrived! The Galaxy 959 CB....I went with this model because it has the greatest capabilties for tuning and if you decided to upgrade the wattage which I would not suggest doing since there is a federal law that the output should be less than 5 watts...it can be upgraded to about 30 watts, 5 watts more than teh Cobra 29.

The 959 is larger in size than the 29 but I like the capabilities compared to size...For those who run or have run the lower attage cheaper CB's they are good for trail use with visual line of sight with most vehicles but you woudlnt count on it in an emergency situation...My Jeep coould be miles out and even though I have a SPOT sat device i still like the idea of having a means of communication.

Tomorrow off to a buddy who will be upgrading it and then we will be tuning the antenna also...
