Just ordered the ARB headlight wiring harness upgrade, I was contemplating the cheaper ones, but have read where I have to replace relays etc... That come with it. Lights is one area I don't want to fail..so let's see the quality of the ARB product.

Another reason I got it is that I have a 96 Cherokee headed my way in a month...a new project

Parts are already being ordered, this build is for the wife. She has a 2002 trailblazer with 190k on it and she wanted a new vehicle..she couldn't find anything she liked except an XJ, so the build will be cheaper than even the cheapest new vehicle.

Back from Line-X, I had the front lip of the hood, the windshield hinges, front & rear fenders, and entry / hard top mounting area done and it looks great.

Have you noticed any engine temp. difference with the hood vents or are they just there cuz they look badass?

Yes it runs cooler, and it's amazing to see the heat rising out of it when it's stopped with the engine off. We have installed several sets on our jeeps out here and everyone has been very satisfied.

Today I had a little time so I decided to mount my MAXSA Escaper Buddies under the roof rack. I hope I never get stuck bad enough to need these but you never know...

They fit nice under the roof rack

Safety wired them in to place, there is a small gap between the sand buddies and the top.The reason I went safety wire is to keep them very secure and if needed I can just cut the ties and pull them out.

Yesterday I has a glare strip installed on the windshield and the full door glass. This week if I have time I am planning to reassemble the full doors, they have been disassembled side paint.

Much cheaper and about half the cost of a new one and built.. Well I would say a little better

My Cherokee build has started but it's posted on the Cherokee Forum under 1996 Cherokee well rounded square build in the build section. If I put a wrangler sticker on it maybe I could start a build thread here ..

Picked up a Moroso Oil Pan NIB from another member for $300 shipped, cant decide if I am going to put it on the YJ or the XJ project. I am also considering the 30 gallon genrite dgas tank for the XJ.

Our Jeep 4.0L Moroso oil pans are manufactured exclusively for Quadratec by skilled Moroso craftsmen in Guilford Connecticut using the finest materials and techniques. Each pan is jig welded and block fitted to minimize warping and insure proper fit and sealing. Before leaving the factory, each pan is leak tested and inspected for quality. The two kickouts allow 1.25 additional quarts of oil capacity to reduce oil temperature. The three hinged trap door baffles around the pickup screen open and close to limit the movement of oil on steep trails and quick launches and stops. The removable anti slosh top plate provides additional oil containment to reduce oil pump starvation. Includes a drain plug with rare earth magnet at the factory location and the original depth is maintained to allow fitment for aftermarket skid plates and to maximize ground clearance.

Great looking rig you have here! I personally think one of the best things about Jeeps is buying one in stock form, wheeling it, then building it up and seeing how much better it does off-road. Such as night and day difference in looks and capability. Keep up the great work and good luck on your new build!

A lot of people swap out the factory lights for some bright LEDs. Do a search on here as it's a pretty popular mod.
