My 87 YJ build

So I've decided its time to start my build thread in hopes it gives me the final push to "finish" it. I bought my YJ in Sept of 2010, and have loved every minute with it since, even while yelling at it because its stuck, leaking something new, wont start, or has claimed yet another chunk of my skin. Kept the ol' girl stock(minus the slight body lift the PO installed), for what felt like forever, until I finally decided it was time to lift it. Went with the 4" RC kit, and after a weekend of torching out bolts that didn't want to move it was installed. Completely changed the whole look of the ol' girl. Found some rims online for $200 and my boss had some VERY worn out Gumbo Monster Mudders that he said I could have. Pretty much since then the "MOD LIST" has been getting larger and larger, and sadly the pocket book isn't growing as the list does haha.

After having fun with the Jeep I decided this was going to be my baby and it was time to start treating her "right". Shortly after the lift was installed it became quite clear that a) it was going to have to be re geared and b) The transmission (BA10) was starting to give me problems so that was going to have to go too. I drove it for a year with not doing anything to it, then i had a "fire". Something shorted out causing some wiring and fusible links to melt. After spending hours upon hours of looking for the cause of the now "no start" jeep I found it. After removing feet upon feet of wiring, and an after market security system it started and ran somewhat okay. Engine burns oil and tends to spit and sputter lots. Realizing the extremely worn out monster mudders needed to be replaced I found a set of 33-14-15 Boggers. Defiantly made the jeep look WAY better. After installing the boggers, like any jeeper would do, I had to find some mud. And mud I found. I buried the poor girl and then BANG, blew the transmission, whoops haha. So now I have a tranny and tcase from a 1992 Cherokee to go in to fix that problem. Also starting to consider doing a 8.8 swap, and while doing that regearing and putting in lockers. Also need to do some engine work to address the oil burning and sputtering problems. I'm sure a carb will help if not solve the sputtering problem. Currently trying to find info out on how to put the tranny in so I can start driving it again. Also Decided that the Jeep life was for me (maybe the jeep decided it for me) so I went out and bought a 2011 JK Rubicon for my Daily driver.

Well after it sat in a snow bank for a couple months she fired right up! Sadly still no reverse haha, was really hoping it would fix itself! As for the new tires, I haven't really got to drive far on them since I bought them then blew the tranny! But will let you know when I do use them haha!
