I am faced with an option. On craigslist I found 37" irocs on steelies. I am wondering if they are just too big. I could try to trade my 35s for them. Thoughts? I also just scored mopar floor pans, brand new, for $30. Sweet!
37s on the d30 is askin for trouble in the long or short term. I would stick w 35s. The difference isn't enough to be worth the $ in repairs down the road. I was at the same decision and I'm building a front axle to run the bigger tires.

I fixed 8 of the body mounts today. The drivers side floor pan has been replaced. The passenger side floor pan was cut out. All rust has been sprayed with 3 coats of rust converter. I have to trim the passenge side floor pan and weld it in. I also transferred the fuel lines off the old frame and onto the rolling chassis. I cut up the old frame to take to the scrap yard. All that it left on the tub are the two rear body mounts plus the passenger side floor pan. Then...on the rolling chassis! Hopefully it can all be completed this week.
It has been a long while since I posted any pic's of the project and it just seemed that we were never going to finish it. Here are the pic's of the finished product. Two years and three months later we are finaly starting to drive her.
I just picked up 35" baja claws in ARE aluminum wheels curtesy of craigslist. Now, the thorn birds are on sale. Raptor lining tomorrow. I have to finish the doors. I just need to weld in the passenger side floor pan and paint the tub. Then....time to start bolting it all back together.
