Here is the front bumper, after taking off the plastic part and then a little spray can paint job :P
Here is the picture of the soft top windshield mount hardware, that me and my stepbrother made up after some bad events occured :x it might be hard to see here.. will take better pic with top down when the sun is out
Another shot of the black diamond plate, with the top down and doors off..
And painted the rims black.. again with spray paint Also, i added the rough country decal that came with the kit.. mounted it on the hood..and there is a few with my stepbrothers jeep from 10 minutes ago. enjoy!
And to think it makes such a big differance. gotta love on next to no budget.
I know right! A few cans of spray paint and some jeep friends.. about 10 bucks and a little sheet metal fab talent, and u got a lot of difference..

Thanks man! hahahaha, its not that big :P well.. its as big as i want it to be :P and for the "bad" aspect... it sounded pretty mean when it was straight piped for the 15 minutes before i put my muffler on haha, still sounds good tho
90 it out the passanger side i did that to mine, 2.5inch straight pipe from manifold, makes it loud for your passanger, but when someone makes you mad cuz they are driveing slow when you pass them they know i like it

haha, yup that was an idea we had a little while ago! so if some guy thinks hes look in a little car, just step on it! lol.. but i think i wanna run it out the back just so my girlfriend doesnt hate to ride in it :P
OK, now the best part.. the results and by the way.. i did this all myself, so dont bash me too hard for my very amatuer fixing and fabbing skills lol.. I used spraycan bedliner for the finish.. i wanted it to be different and textured.. and it was both, so.. im thinking about doing my whole jeep in this stuff haha.. i still gotta do the the front fender panels and grilll with the spray can bedliner.. but this is how the back turned out..
still got a few more coats for the back, but all in all.. i was happy what that $8 can of bedliner did for me.. lol. now the other partial mod i did in between my prep and coats of paint.. was the flares.. atleast one of them :x lol.. i saw this on youtube.. I took a heatgun to my flares to barely re-melt the surface of the flares and it turns it nice and black.. did a whole flare using this technique.. then.. used a little "back to black" sort of stuff i guess.. and look at the results..
And thats mint! lol. still gotta do 3 more flares and a good deal of spray can bedliner lol.. but i liked the mods i did today.. good experimenting i guess lol. what does everyone think?
I used Rustoleum. I did 2 coats. And still have some left over. Still need to do the doors.Started to roll it on but the brush was much better. use a good brush. I have a few bristles that came off. (and didn't notice them till it dryed.) Jeep is not on the road yet so do not know how well it will hold up. Will see if I can get picks tomarrow. I have a thread under yj. Titled 92 wrangler in upstate NY.
Here are some pics. Still need to touch a little. I moved the gas filler to the side so I can have back up lights. Came out pretty good. As far as longevity can't help ya. I had to do something so gave it a shot. Only paid $45 gal. at wally world. Bought a couple of spray cans also. did the small stuff. brushing it on was thicker than rolling it. I sanded the jeep then wiped it good with acetone. Didn't do the best prepping. But we will see. No real budget. Had to work with what i had. Touch up should be easy.
okkk, just bedlined my fender panels and grill, came out really good! one can of spray on bedliner did the trick.. $9. lol. forgot to post before pics.. it just had a lot of little rust spots all over.. will post pics tonight or tomorow
